If it is anything like past expansions , they more then likely got the ground work for 10.0 started before SL launched . THey probably have a group working on it while others continue to work on SL .
It’s really not. Lots of people come back when there’s new content.
Wait we are burrowing for power now…maybe we are all doing this wrong and that’s why people are complaining
I don’t think there will be an actual 9.3 and if there is I don’t think it will be a raid tier .
It will be more of a closing the story patch as we get ready to go back to Azeroth .
I think 9.2 will be the last raid tier and I think they may actually ad what would be 9.3 into the 9.2.5 patch.
You can skip 9.2 if you want, I suppose. But not everyone will. I won’t.
You know come to think of it has Vol’jin torched the tree would people have been mad? I mean that’s what trolls do right, see it wasn’t bad story telling, the just picked the wrong character.
Hell they could have made it a raid not a cutscene and people would have rejoiced.
Well still plenty of trolls
Totally agree. I keep proposing we get a cinematic telling us how the Jailer ended up in 9.1.5, then move on to 10.0.
I will say I don’t want 10.0 if we are having inter dimensional light and void wars which looks like what they want it to be. Then maybe staying in the Shadowlands would be better.
Implying the next expansion isn’t going to be something more ridiculous because every expansion has to one up the threat facing the world. The villains in WoW are like DBZ villains. You use everything you have then have to BS even more stronger foes to justify why Goku doesn’t just curbstomp these foes considering he’s dealt with the “universe destroying threat” about 5 times now.
I really won’t be shocked if 10.0 is either dealing with the hinted at Lightlands, or deals with the cosmic elements on a grand scale and setting balance to them.
Then 11.0 is fighting some threat even greater that the cosmic forces chart, you get to pick a force to fight for much like covenants. Then you hear the imfamous words of Blizzard: “We learned from covenants, it won’t be as bad as 9.0.”
You’re describing exactly what I want. I want them to delve more into the Cosmic side.
Well have fun being one of a handful of players because a lot of people jaded about the lore of the game are mad it doesn’t feel like Warcraft anymore. If they venture from Warcraft too long they’ll just quit and go to a better story that makes sense.
Not deal with Dan the Loser’s wannabe Marvel x Warcraft fanfiction.
They’ve actually IMO done a fair bit into 9.2 and I doubt they’ll just scrap it. It wasn’t to everyone’s taste but these forums really blow things way outta proportion. A lot of casuals that make up a fair % of this game, still are enjoying themselves it seems.
At the end of the day, if you aren’t enjoying it, take a break and come back after 10.0 (I really advise people who are on the fence to not buy into this ‘buying at launch or pre purchasing’ till they are more at ease of how the expansion is starting etc)
Wow, “a lot” of people have no clue what “Warcraft” is and will complain it doesn’t suit them. Boo hoo. People acted like MoP wasn’t Warcraft yet hail the expansion where we go to another planet as amazing.
Ah yes, “people don’t understand Warcraft” despite playing the games when it was just “orcs from another world invading another planet and fighting”. To truly understand Warcraft you need to appreciate the very clearly BS lore that’s been retconned to suit new lore they came up with and forced into the narrative beginning in 2016.
Most of the tones weren’t Warcraft, they were wannabe Lovecraft themes thrown into the WoW world, but I think anybody who played WC3 even remotely understood Pandaren were established, Pandaria was established, Chen was made canonical in WC3 and Vanilla with his empty keg as a reference to when you had to build Orgrimmar in the RTS and unite what would become the Horde against Daelin Proudmoore. As opposed to the “goofy easter egg” people pretended Brewmasters were.
Sargeras was a long standing villain in the lore, he was there since the beginning, everyone knew he exists. It’s a completely different ballgame fighting Sargeras than “HERE’S A NEW VILLAIN YOU’VE NEVER HEARD BEFORE! HIS NAME IS THE JAILER AND HE’S THE TRUE MASTERMIND OF THE DEAD NOT THE LICH KING BECAUSE HE USED THE LICH KING AS A PAWN!!!”
Like really? How do you not understand something so incredibly simple? No wonder the new lore appeals to you, you’re a simpleton.
Who had next to nothing to do with TBC.
