Aside from this comment i linked to contrast what you were complaining about previously, this doesn’t really explain much to me how it removes loot falling from the sky as you put it, since your not going in detail or explaining it.
Can you name or link the announced changes to PvP?
While i was reading your comment and it’s just mostly subjective fluff with two things that are substantive to work with, i decided to look this up on WoWhead and see what your not telling me here.
Great Vault is the equivalent of the weekly chest in Shadowlands. In addition to Mythic dungeons, you will be able to acquire rewards from other activities such as PvP and raids.
You can add items to the Great Vault by completing various activities each week. Once per week after maintenance, you can select a single reward from up to 9 items .
The Great Vault quest that requires you to claim an item from it for the first time rewards Legendary powers for your power. You can learn more about how to craft them in our Runecarving hub and find out the powers you can get in our Legendary powers page linked below.
Okay, so what i gather here is you can only get 1 item weekly but you can choose 1 out of 9 items if you do all 9 activities at max. Or essentially choose out of more then just 1 if you do more then 1.
Is this the brilliance you were talking about here, the fact it allows you to choose your loot in a pool that is large depending how much activities you have done? It does sound kind of cool to allow you to pick and choose and instead of having RNG dictate your loot all the time. I seriously don’t know what’s so brilliant about it, i think that’s way overselling it.
