That’s cool i won’t be renewing my membership. See you next expansion unless something better comes out.
I hope that we can dismount people in regular mounts in war mode, would be fitting.
I’m with the people saying it’ll be hard to go back to old flight. I know why people want it. I just think they haven’t given the new flight time to get used to it.
I like nose diving and building enough speed to cross a zone. I don’t want the silly static movement of old flight back.
My biggest issue with it is the motion sickness that comes with it. I understand the thrill people are feeling over all the twirling and diving and whatnot, but for me I feel so physically unwell after a round of it.
I haven’t played since my first go, and as of right now, I’m not so sure if I will anytime soon. Funny enough, I still think WoW itself is my favorite game overall, so I will find other things to do while either a) waiting for them to hopefully release normal flying or b) I give it another shot and hope for a better result.
Keep your quicktime gliding but give me regular flying. This is unfun for me. I don’t want it.
Yes, I know. What I’m saying is that, to unlock regular flying, you will probably have to play with dragon riding to some extent. Blizzard didn’t spend 2 years designing an entirely new flying system with progression systems and an expansion where the world is designed with that flying system in mind just to render it useless 3-6 months later.
I think people hoping to avoid dragon riding altogether are going to be disappointed when they realize this to be the case.
Regular flight is what the FPs offer.
It feels like they took 5 minutes to design it. It grew old the moment i dropped like a rock and things killed me. It being forced is dumb. No thank you.
I’ll personally only be using dragon riding because of speed, but I don’t think they will do anything like pathfinder ever again…if anything something like korthia/Sl where you just auto-unlocked it after doing some intro quests there.
Its basically GW2’S flying. They didn’t have to spend much time designing it, they just copied and pasted GW2 and added some of their own additions to it.
Then they lost me as a sub for life
Isn’t motion sickness related to distance? Maybe sit further back. I don’t have it so don’t know. But I also sit a good 3 or 4 feet from the monitor usually.
I mean, you can still play the game without the use of dragonriding. It’s not ideal but it’s still a possibility. It wouldn’t be any different to the last few expansions where you’re forced into using flight paths and ground mounts until Blizzard finally decides to unlock flying. It would feel no different this time around in Dragonflight.
And should that day ever come I’ll resub.
Like i said they took 5 minutes and called it good. I hate it so much. There’s a reason i play wow and not gw2. I’m sick and tired of the abuse of power here.
Maybe. It’s entirely possible that Blizzard will just let us regular fly 6 months later without having to do anything with dragon riding. I won’t say yes or no, only that it’s far more plausible for Blizzard to say “You need to collect X amount of glyphs and unlock X number of abilities before you can use regular flying in the Dragon Isles” because that seems like the most natural form of progression to unlocking regular flying.
Bro, we get it. You don’t like dragon riding.
This is nonsense. Just make those things only be visible if you’re on your dragon. DONE. This is easily solvable, Blizzard just didn’t expect so many people to hate dragonriding and want old flying
I just want regular flying. Why can’t they just give us what we want? This one stings hard. Before at least we were grounded. This is such a punch in the gut. It’s misleading advertisement.
Not many people hate dragon riding. Only the forums have taken an issue with it. And we all know that the forums are never an indicator for what is good and bad.
Shows you don’t watch streaming.
I don’t know if I would be able to see what I’m doing if I sit that far away from the screen… but I’m also a tiny human lol I will give it another shot and try to move my chair away from the desk some, most certainly. Perhaps it will work? It would be nice if I could at least somehow hobble along the mandatory parts of the game.
As long as it’s an option, I don’t mind being slowed down or inconvenienced by flight paths or ground mounts. I’ll happily do that if it allows me to continue the story that way. I had to park my Dracthyr in the starting zone because I couldn’t do the flying through rings part, but thankfully I didn’t plan on maining that class anyway
