immortal
training them mage does little to no impact on their output
ways to avoid damage is too high
if left alone 1 button frost firebolt spam too overtuned
toxic utility with rng root procs in 2025 , huge snare, 2 charges of block
This is such a vice for me. Im a total noob but the raw power of icy veins frostfire bolt spam is such a dopamine hit. You melt healthbars like its nothing. Made the experience of playing a mage for the first time very enjoyable
Yeah I’ve died many times this season because I wasn’t respecting the power of icy veins. It’s truly absurd damage they deal if they get a time warp proc with power infusion, I’ve been hit by three frost fire bolts in less than a gcd on occasion. Not to mention they often hit for 900k+
Reminds me a bit of shadowlands necrolord frost mage
I feel like any ranged class can actually put a lot of pressure on a mage if combined with a melee. Depends on the comp vs comp. Which shuffles around and semi-balances out? I don’t know. At this point they feel almost as balanced as a ranged magic class can get. Double iceblock is still annoying when they pull it off though. Better grab a priest!
bias aside it really feel like the rogue and mage over the years have had the most utility while only having their downsides or things that required skill pruned.
