I checked my vault this week on my Holy Paladin. I have a 2hand mace waiting for me…
loot spec set to holy. Why is this??? even a robot could tell a 2h weapon is useless for a holy paladin.
I’m totally in favor of laying off 75% of the dev team and replacing with AI which will make better decisions. I will be handling this weeks shareholder meeting accordingly. We demand change.

Human error is the result of many, many issues.
Are you 100% sure you were in loot-spec Holy? When you opened the vault it clear as day said generating vault for Holy?
Wait. Can’t Holy Paladins use a 2H?

AI would be an improvement probly
Does it have int on it? Cuz i got one recently as well. Int = good for holy pally

You put too high a value in AI.

They can. There’s a specific Intellect 2H Mace that exists and drops from Stonevault (IIRC) that Evokers and Druids can also use.
Paladins can use 2H Maces. Holy Paladins can use Intellect (and a 2H Intellect Mace was their Legion Artifact). Therefore, Holy Paladins can loot the Intellect 2H Mage in question.

Hpals can absolutely use a 2h that has int.

they “can” but a lot of things with paladin are based around a shield offhand, so you basically neuter yourself
to be fair.
paladins should not reproduce

Remind me again,
What was the artifact weapon Holy Paladins got in Legion?

Doesn’t work with SOTR. It’s not viable. you lose the armor bonus from the shield too as it doesn’t have the armor baked in like the legion artifact did anymore when you use a 2hander as far as I know.
I took a hot second to type up this reply for you. As you can see, I am totally on board with this, and here is why!
- Increased Efficiency:
- AI can perform repetitive tasks at a much faster pace than humans, such as coding, testing, and debugging, ultimately speeding up the development process. This efficiency can lead to quicker project turnaround times, allowing companies to release games more frequently.
- Cost Reduction:
- By utilizing AI for game development, companies may save on labor costs associated with hiring and retaining a full development team. This can enable game developers to invest in advanced marketing strategies or quality improvements, potentially resulting in enhanced player experiences.
- Consistency and Accuracy:
- AI algorithms can minimize human error and maintain consistent quality in graphics, gameplay mechanics, and other elements, leading to a smoother final product. The use of AI can help standardize functionalities, ensuring that games remain of high quality across production lines.
- Data Analysis and Personalization:
- AI can analyze vast amounts of player data to understand gaming trends, preferences, and habits. This insight allows for the development of highly personalized gaming experiences, increasing player engagement and satisfaction. Games can evolve dynamically based on real-time player feedback and behavior.
- Possibility of Innovation:
- AI can inspire new gameplay mechanics that humans may not envision. By simulating various scenarios and gameplay principles, AI can facilitate creative methods to challenge traditional game design, paving the way for groundbreaking games and entirely new genres.
Yup, did this all on my own.
It’s an item that is for the holy loot spec. It is an intelligence weapon. “AI” is a buzzword but has no relevance here at all.
Looting a max lvl 2h weapon removes the crest costs for mh oh. I actually considered crafting the 2h mace early in s2 to get more valuable out of crests early on because the crest cost of crafting mh oh is prohibitively high
hi. I um. countered your argument in the same way. totally all on my own
Thank you for sharing the response. Here’s a counterargument that highlights the importance of human involvement in the development of video games, even in light of the benefits AI brings to the process:
-
Human Creativity and Innovation:
While AI is powerful in optimizing tasks like coding and debugging, it cannot replicate the core creative drive that humans bring to game development. Games are not just about efficiency and functionality; they are about creating experiences that resonate emotionally with players. Game design requires a deep understanding of narrative, world-building, character development, and player psychology—all of which are rooted in human creativity and cultural context. AI, while it can generate ideas based on patterns, lacks the ability to truly understand or innovate in ways that engage human emotions or craft meaningful stories that players connect with. Human developers are essential for pushing boundaries and exploring new artistic expressions, creating universes, and giving voice to the human experience.
-
The Human Touch in Player Experience:
AI can indeed analyze player data and adjust gameplay to match certain patterns, but it cannot replace the empathy and intuition that human designers have for player experience. Game design is inherently about understanding human behavior, motivations, and emotions. For example, creating moments of surprise, crafting moral dilemmas, or building a compelling narrative all rely on nuanced, human insights. While AI can fine-tune elements based on data, it lacks the ability to design compelling emotional arcs, character-driven stories, or the kind of engaging narrative pacing that comes from understanding the player’s journey.
-
Ethical and Cultural Sensitivity:
AI lacks the contextual understanding of ethical considerations, social issues, and cultural sensitivity that human developers bring to the table. Games often reflect societal themes, cultural narratives, and community dynamics—areas where AI might miss the mark. A team of diverse human developers can ensure that these elements are handled thoughtfully, avoiding harmful stereotypes, promoting inclusivity, and creating experiences that are respectful and meaningful across cultures.
-
AI’s Limitation in Complex Problem-Solving:
While AI can speed up repetitive tasks, game development often requires creative problem-solving that cannot simply be automated. Balancing complex game systems, designing intricate level layouts, and making dynamic design choices require critical thinking and adaptability. These tasks often require iterative trial and error, intuition, and experience—qualities that AI, while improving, still cannot match when it comes to complex, evolving design problems that arise in the development of large-scale games.
-
The Collaborative Nature of Game Development:
Video game development is not just a matter of efficiency and cost-cutting; it’s a deeply collaborative process. Designers, artists, writers, and programmers work together, bringing unique expertise to different aspects of the game. While AI can play a role in enhancing certain elements, it should be viewed as a tool that augments the capabilities of human teams, rather than replacing them. Human collaboration remains at the heart of creating unique, polished games that resonate with players on a personal level.
-
AI Cannot Fully Replace Human Judgment:
Ultimately, the decision-making that shapes the direction of a game is a human-driven process. From determining which gameplay mechanics to prioritize to deciding the visual style, AI is a tool that can assist but cannot make final creative decisions. The game industry thrives on the ability of humans to take risks, experiment with unconventional ideas, and steer projects in ways that AI simply cannot anticipate. For example, in World of Warcraft, design decisions that affect how players interact with the world—such as social dynamics in guilds or how quest design promotes exploration—are the result of careful thought, rather than being driven purely by data.
Conclusion:
AI can indeed bring valuable benefits to the game development process, particularly in terms of efficiency, cost, and data analysis. However, the essence of what makes a game successful is its ability to connect with players on an emotional and intellectual level, which requires human creativity, intuition, and collaboration. AI should be seen as an enabler of human potential, rather than a replacement for the human-driven processes that define the artistry and storytelling that make video games such a powerful medium.
In the end, while AI can enhance certain aspects of game development, it is the human touch—our creativity, empathy, and judgment—that truly makes a game memorable.

Can someone use AI to confirm if it’s actually this much worse?
If I recollect, the legion holy paladin 2hander had the ac of a shield on it as well. Am I mistaken about that? I wouldn’t give up the AC bonus of a shield as a holy paladin, and I have a couple.
Semper Fi!
Can’t tell you how many 2 handers I’ve gotten as Holy.
It’s the Intellect Polearms that make me lol.
No… if AI took over this game will quickly turn into a bunch of anime elves wearing barely any clothes.
when you did the content, did you do it as Ret paladin because it was easier? because whatever spec you do, the content in is the spec you get gear for in your vault. I tested this with my druid and found out. I kept getting guardian gear instead of feral gear. So I actually had to switch to my feral spec as I was doing my quest and such
