Its a bug that turned up likely in patch 1.10, and stayed until Cata.
Imo delete it.
What I find amusing is Blizzard nerfing (intentionally) Reckoning pala builds, but allows diamond flask to keep on keepin.

IMO they need to in SOM2 do the following to melee. (hell even for Era?)

- Change AGI to Crit rate on all melee to be the same, make it 25 per 1% melee crit, and 1% Parry per 50AGI. Cat and Rogue retain 1AP per AGI.
- Make STR only provide 1 AP, but 1% block per 50 STR in addition to its block value increase.
- Cut the Attack power stat on gear by 50%
This makes STR and AGI valuable base stats for tanking, and makes pala tanking easier to gear, and makes Sham tanking easier to gear.
Similar for casters. (@60 scaling)
- The spell damage and healing stat on gear is cut by 50%, and the healing component is removed from these items.
- Healing power stat on gear is cut by 75%
- Spirit (the stat on gear) increases all hit values by 1% per 30
- Spiri the stat is normalized for every classes at the same rates as warrior for health regeneration and its mana regeneration value increased by 2X and allowing for 20% of the regen to always continue while casting.
This would slow the game down some, buy would make the game play more enjoyable overall from start to top. This also means no actual changes truly needed to the classes individually on the talent or ability level.

I mean… while Diamond flask is pretty overpowered, and I agree that it absolutely should be on a radar for a nerf if any balancing were to occur… there’s plenty of busted stuff in the game that still exists.
I mean a mage can, at any point in a fight, sheep you and leave… or sheep you and heal/mana to full every single engage if they don’t get a decent opener.
I would love if some of the clearly busted stuff was fixed, but then wouldn’t this cause imbalances elsewhere? It becomes retail if we keep trying to fix everything.

There is nothing special that they are doing to “exploit” Heroic Strike. All you have to is press the button and that “queues it” and the bug kicks in to remove the offhand miss penalty. The ability is there as a Rage burner, that’s why it works the way it does minus the miss penalty bug. They could and should fix it, I won’t complain if they do.
Diamond Flask, I think you are going after some stupid stuff with this one.
Guess what, a Warrior can equip a heavy Spirit gear set and get huge out of combat self healing too. Working as intended.
dropping to 2k hp to spend 90 seconds healing to 2k hp to put your gear back on and be at 20% doesn’t impress anyone
