Seriously, it was garbage having to go to Duskwood, Wetlands, and god-forsaken Redridge for runes.
Maybe we can get some P2 runes in Alterac and Desolace to compensate?

I think they stated they are going to attempt to address this.
We’ve heard the community 's concerns, and after much internal discussion have decided to introduce runes exclusively as premade RMT GDKP exclusives!

Hmm. Didn’t have to go to Darkshore. I guess it could have been worse.
Conversely, I greatly enjoyed going to Ratchet, the Barrens (mostly to farm Deviate Delight recipes, and of course Wailing Caverns), and Stonetalon Mountains, but of course none of those places are Horde zones.
Maybe they should have put more rune stuff in the Barrens actually.

Fortunately most zones between 25-40 are contested zones anyway so this shouldn’t be an issue.

Put one of the Horde Runes in Stormwind and require them to beat Bolvar to get it for every single class, twice for Shaman. That way when Phase 3 comes around we can tell the Phase 3 whiners that at least it won’t be as bad as that Phase 2 Rune. >_>;

I sure enjoyed having to trek to Hillsbrad, Silverpine, Barrens, and Stonetalon as an Alliance for my runes.

Hillsbrad and Stonetalon are part of your leveling zones. Those are not treks, please stop. Barrens has a boat to it and sfk has always been like that. Deadmines is just as bad for us.

Those are also both contested zones. This is a silly thread, this won’t be a problem next phase. Every zone is contested.

While the cap remains 25, Hillsbrad is not part of any Alliance leveling and instead is exclusively a Horde leveling zone. Alliance questing in the zone starts at level 30.

Semantics, you still go there. You have a flight path. There is NOTHING alliance side like having to run from hillsbrad to DEEP wetlands or having to go from grom gol to DEEP red ridge.

It really is insane how Alliance favored rune acquisition was in P1. I think every class except Rogue was tilted toward Alliance zones. How does no one realize this during development?

It absolutely has things in common with Horde running Wetlands. You go to Badlands through Wetlands next phase, and then have a flight path there. Normally Alliance would head through Hillsbrad to go to SM in Phase 2.
You go to a zone that you would otherwise go to anyway, early.
Umm druids have to travel same distance to stonetalon for WS. And getting to ratchet is aids. U literally have a blimp to STV and a 8 min run to redridge…

I didn’t know this was a common complaint. Has someone actually counted up the perceived alliance/horde favor for runes in P1? I remember SFK and Stonetalon on my rogue (Deadly Brew) SUCKING lol.
