I get it. I haven’t logged into my characters in a while. No, I don’t want some gear and bags. No, I don’t want to log in to every character in order to decline.
No, I’m not mad. I’m minorly annoyed. But I’ve been minorly annoyed for the 100th time since they’ve enabled the feature. Please let me disable it.

It could simply be Decline. Right now it’s Login → Decline → Loading Screen → Logout. That’s fine on one toon, but when you need to do it on 30 it feels a bit tedious. Even better, just let me hide the ugly gear upgrade sidebar.
If I were to give you THUNDERFURY, BLESSED BLADE OF THE WINDSEEKER on a toon that would give you godly stats, would you still decline?

Yeah, that’s kind of annoying to me as well. I am unclear why someone thought it would be a good idea to shove new gear down my characters’ throats but I suppose there are folks who like getting new stuff.

That’s what you get for taking a break of any kind. Consider yourself lucky that’s all they’ve done.
I’ve read horror stories of them testing connecting that gear up system to the mobile Authenticator. Then you would need to do all the things you listed AND grab your phone a half dozen times per toon. We’re talking Minutes! MINUTES of wasted time futzing around and that’s just trying to remember my pin to get in my phone or unscowl my annoyed face so facial recognition picks up on me.
Agree. One or two toons it’s fine if you have a bunch it’s a little annoying.
Blizzard is oblivious to annoying us though with little things.
Like why does it act like you need an introduction to the UI on every single new character you create?
It’s like geez blizzard look at my account I play 27 characters on and off I think I got the UI figured out.
Also if you use the upgrade token that comes with the expansion preorder it ruins how your ui is setup and you need to re do your action bars. Why? Why does my character boost touch ANYTHING with the Ui at all?
What’s the big deal? Just ignore it. You aren’t logging in those characters anyway. You must not have played them for quite some time to be flagged for the free handout gear.

The problem is that some people are getting confused by how it is on the login screen. I’ve talked to a bunch of people in general chat on different servers who wouldn’t log in to those alts, because they thought it was automatic and didn’t know that if they just logged in normally, they could decline.
