They could 100% leave the primary stats the same, change the tier set bonuses, and guess what? There’d be no power creep.

Dude…we have 6 months of season 2. Thats plenty of time to get 4/5 tier set. If you’re smart with your crest upgrading you’ll be well off before the end of the season.

I absolutely hate teir sets.

they lock you into a rotation that has nothing to do with your style of gameplay.

They need to at least balance classes with less impactful tier bonuses rather than trying to balance the tier set bonuses. Seems like every season class balance is thrown back up into the air.

The set doesn’t lock you into a rotation, Blizzard locked you into a rotation at the start of each season in which the data miners tell you your rotation (for most people) since buffs and changes are always added each large patch (like Undermine) and each expansion

The very nature of WoW combat is learning a rotation

Bring back all kinds of procs, armor,& weapons! Give us some randomness in combat

All gear solutions have shortcomings, tier has been consistently better than the alternatives imo. I get it’s annoying to not have 4 piece but it’s honestly so easy to get it compared to in the past, we can’t move that yardstick any more, this is about as easy as it should be.

Also, historically Blizzard has taken no tier to mean “please make us the most generic fugly armor sets ever based on armor type”, that alone is reason enough for me to never want to get rid of it.

Tiers are less fun without them.
This isnt hypothetical, we went without then for a while.

Sure you might say they force you into a certain playstyle but i like to look at it as enabling a playstyle or talent build that is otherwise dead.

For example Oblivion on Aff is pretty much a dead talent. But a tier set bonus is a good way to amplify it and in a way that provides a smooth transition out of it in the next tier if it doesnt work, or bake that functionality into the base spell if it does.

A lot of the fun talents we have right now come from old tier sets or legendary effecfs.

On top of that, they make 90% of loot drops (any armor piece essentially) useless and unexciting the rest of the entire season because you aren’t going to replace tier.

is a non issue because those pieces can be used to convert to tier.

I don’t play RDruid, but I’m not really seeing how that tier set would drastically alter the gameplay of a RDruid.
I’ve also reviewed WoWHead and Icy-Veins guides and neither of them mention anything.
What is the issue with that tier set?

Tier has never been easier to get. With a small effort it is virtually guaranteed by this point

I’m actually surprised I don’t have it yet on my main. Just had luck in vaults and with drops.

You are absolutely right, with sparks, delves, raids, and all these other methods of gearing tier is super easy to get now.

This one doesnt, last one didnt.

DF the abberus tier hardlocked the flourish/VI node, amidrassil and season 4 hardlocked treants cause hardcasting nourish sucks.
No one really cared during abberus cause everyone who did any difficult content was using it already, the treant one got some push back but thats more because of how wrapped up the spec was in treants before the tier and then they just pushed them harder all the way til their own hero tree this expac.

Id say the problem is the new talent set ups more then tier themselves, tier bonuses havent really changed much the last decade outside of taking choice nodes into account.
But now that spec and class trees have so much all but 4 spells per spec are technically optional. And if every tier bonus was just those 4 spells theyd get real boring real quick.

…people actually look you up to see if you have 4pc? Really? That’s nuts. That info isn’t available in the finder so I’m kinda shocked that people go to tht extent for pugs. Or is there an addon that checks for set acquisition?

Yea no, I was wrong I forgot I got lucky and got an LFR chest piece.

Had it sitting in my bag waiting for the 3rd charge so I could go insta 4 piece.

You get a charge with atoc and a charge with 2k io

Just wanted to point out, it’s NOT one charge from each of these, two in total. It’s “either” 2k M+ ratings OR last boss kill on Heroic raid difficulty. Just like it was the case with previous seasons when you would get a Hero track tier item token for either one of those and they just changed it to Catalyst charge.
