Can we please get rid of phased War Mode?

I’d like someone to kindly explain to me how getting phased out of someone’s shard for being in war mode makes sense.

War Mode should not have the main city restriction to turn on, and it should just be the old flag system. This new mode is horrid given that even high pop servers get cut in half, and sharding handles the rest to make the game continue to feel empty.

I like it the way it is. I don’t want to see WM people.

My issue is when trying to do mythics or grouping, and I can’t see my party members because some of us are in War Mode, and others aren’t.

And RP servers feel so empty now.

How about we just get rid of warmode and have PVP realms back?

Or somehow make summoning stones (or small area) ignore warmode rules.

I find that irritating as well. In the beginning I used to run back to Orgrimmar or Stormwind (if I am on my Alliance guy) but now I just drop and look for another group.

I’m with ya. I just wish that when someone got “flagged” for PvP, they would be moved over to the warmode shard.

Keep all the PvP together and away from me.

I do wish I would see WM on people while im out and about. Seeing PvP while not being under threat to get involved would be really cool and make the zones feel more alive.

I might feel a little bad I couldnt help out if I saw my side losing and such but I am sure I will be strong enough to survive the emotional turmoil.

This is why we should just bring back the old pvp flag. Those that want to, can. And maybe they get a benefit?

The benefit of PVP is killing other players, and then making fun of the corpses before they release. Same as its always been!

Pvp servers should have been the default. Should have never made pve servers a thing. Why play Warcraft if you don’t want anything to do with the war part?

  1. Rp realms feel empty? i still see tons of people all over, also in Stormwind the main RP hub warmode does not matter
  2. if you are in a group and see people are not in warmode/in warmode tell them to turn it off in boralus/you turn it off

I was under the impression, you can’t turn it on or off unless in Org or SW.

so… war mode, but more annoying because you will find someone who you want to kill but they are not flagged, so you start killing a mob, then they flag and kill you while your weakened.

You can only turn it on in storm/org
but you can turn it OFF anywhere rested.

Agreed, warmode is a poor substitute for true pvp servers, remember those servers? Where you rolled a character BECAUSE you actually liked spontaneous pvp, not for a pity prize, we never got any and none of us ever asked for any reward for being outnumbered.

Get rid of this poor excuse for player versus player, revert some of the original pvp servers back for those of us who enjoyed the camaraderie of guildies who would come to help each other out and the absolute fun of playing cat and mouse with an opponent.

Something along these lines is the only thing I think would be workable, maybe allow people to temporarily toggle warmode on or off while at the stone if another party member is nearby as well? Could make it so that it only lasts for 60 seconds before reverting you back to your previous war mode state, and maybe make things like teleport, hearthstone, and flight whistle revert your status early so that war mode players can’t exploit it to escape a confrontation.

They tried having everyone see each other in beta, but the War Mode people kept giving everyone else wedgies.
