Idk about you guys, but forced PL was one of the worst features for my guild in BFA.
With a return to player agency as a focus in shadowlands, give us back the option to distribute loot how we want.
Blah blah yes ninja looters are bad, and pugs with “x item on reserve” is dumb.
Just make it 100% guild only and call it a day.
If you don’t like ML thats fine, join a PL guild, or DKP, or whatever floats your boat. I am so sick or this Blizzard holding our hands telling us the right way to play garbage.
Please Blizzard. We tried it for an xpac. It was not good.
(If you prefer PL before you come in here to troll please note that I am not asking for PL’s removal, recognize that ML is a disaster in pugs, and am only asking for ML to return for 100% guild runs)

Nevermind. I don’t support ML coming back in any form.

If any guild at any difficulty is full and wants to use it they should be allowed to do so. Bring back player choice!
Agree that any PUG group should be automatic PL

Heroic is my end-game and I’ve been in a number of corrupt and favoritist guilds when it came to loot. I’m happy with PL being the standard there.
A serious mythic guild cannot get away with that sort of behavior, but heroic is flexible enough that corruption can thrive.

I’m not. It cost my raid several members. I’d like to have the choice. If your guild wants to use PL that’s great. I’d like for mine to be run the way we dictate

None of the heroic guilds I’ve been in used PL. It just isn’t going to happen if ML is an option.
I understand why it’s necessary for mythic, but it doesn’t really need to be in any difficulty lower than that.

Because ML was a superior system for progression. Probably the real reason it was removed

No OP, as someone that raid leads a lot of PUGS, I already deal with enough infighting over who sucks the most and who is the person I should now kick to increase our chances, I don’t want to deal with people fighting over the loots too.

It’s a good tool for those serious about progression, but it can also be easily abused. As I said, you can’t really afford to do that in a mythic guild that’s the least bit serious about progressing, but you can be corrupt and favoritist as all hell in a heroic guild just fine. It’s easy enough that you can hoard all the loot to yourself if you wanted, and you can easily kick dissenters at your leisure.

Nah, you guys played without ML and gave Blizzard more time metrics.
You did not live to the expectation that you *ALL would quit.

I don’t get the problem. You can trade items between each other. Are the people you run with really that much of an *ss that they wouldn’t help their fellow guild members out it wasn’t something they were going to use? These are serious questions, not condescension. I left during mop and came back during 8.1 i figured gl would be a godsend

I’ve had the worst experience with Master loot, trials get no loots, or friends get it first, or people on loot council get priority…
Mythic ok I understand, but heroic and below leave it at Personal Loot, when they removed Master loot it was a god send…
Heck I’ve had guild give people off spec loot instead of a trials BiS!

I’ve been in guilds full of terrible people like that, yeah.
It works like this…
If it’s a bonus role then no you can’t trade.
If it’s an upgrade for you, then no you can’t trade to anyone else. This stops other people trying to ninja things, that’s built into the system so people can’t chuck a fuss and hold you to ransom over your upgrades.
If it’s however not an upgrade for you and not a bonus role then yes you can trade it.

I know you can’t if it’s an ilvl upgrade is there any other reason?
You can’t if it’s a bonus roll.
