Seriously, why were Cross Faction Guilds added before the ability to queue cross faction?
I can’t level a Horde toon with my guildies that are leveling Alliance, because we can’t quest together, because you disabled that, and we can’t queue for dungeons together. (And can’t queue for bgs either, even though we could queue for rated bgs at max level?)
You have disabled all aspects of leveling from Cross-Faction play, which is honestly ridiculously stupid. The entire point of wanting to play together with friends extends to leveling characters together as well. That’s a big part of this game.
If you’re worried about “immersion” - that ship sailed when you made it so only the Guild/Community leader gets to decide if a Community/Guild is cross-faction. You took the power out of players hands and they are being forced cross-faction even if they don’t want it. Likewise, they could end up against a cross-faction group in a rated bg, despite the fact that would break their immersion. You also have shown you have the ability to add options to opt-out of cross-faction with the Dungeon Finder - just extend this to the queue system.
As stated above, the other systems you have implemented already ruined any solo-faction immersion that existed - so stop holding cross-faction queueing hostage from people who want to play with their friends in a leveling and casual environment.

Ugh, preach.
I tend to lean horde and my friends tend to lean alliance. We wanna levels alts and then it’s “oh yeah… well at 70 I guess we’ll be able to play together.”
Same story for timewalking when the vendors have normal/heroic loot.

I’m with you 100%. It’s not just friends, it’s my house too. Kid wants to play Horde, wife wants to play Horde, and I’m here on the blue side wanting to level with them…
Yeah, it is so dumb we can’t queue up with our friends and in my case family.

I completely agree with you.
The strict and, to be honest, quite antisocial handling of both factions has led to nothing but frustration and toxic behavior in pretty much all areas: PvE, PvP, and maintaining strict racial division up until today is really the worst. Instead of choosing a faction based on values, you are still forced to choose based on race. That is quite backward…
I’d rather not even start talking about the real-life conflicts between hardcore faction fans on some occasions.
The factions can continue to exist and even wage war if necessary, but they shouldn’t restrict players’ freedom.

The way I see it, you put one foot in the water, might as well go all the way in. Blizzard already allows cross faction interaction, might as well go all the way!

Just imagine the advantages in queue times if they’d let people play CF queues.
Why, do you think one side has a disproportionate number of tanks/healers than the other?

In my experience, Horde have more tanks and less healers, and Alliance have the opposite problem.
Not my experience - it is almost always healer I have had to wait for alliance side.
Yeah it’s rather silly limitation.
Plus, I just want this for the comedy. Imagine some undead rogue in LFR typing his little heart out in raid chat about the woes of cross faction and how it’s killing the game!
Pure gold.

I totally agree with this, if Blizzard is “concerned” about the conservative player base, add a check box that allows those players to simply opt out of allowing cross faction play, the rest of us would like to be able to cross that segregation barrier and play the game with our alliance counterparts and vice versa. If you’re going to commit to cross factional integration, fully commit.
