Can we play an Evil faction?

“I was only following quest instructions” is the new war crimes defense.

Thrall was a health insurance CEO.

People always hate what’s current.

Only time and nostalgia allow things to be liked by the public.

Especially in current times, where dumping on everything new is the cool thing to do.

I agree 100%, WoW needs a new Evil Faction or WoW is done, put a fork in the game, it’s done. What WoW doesn’t need is another Skyrim / Disney game.

Without a good Villain there is no Hero. No story to tell. The only Villain WoW has is a diet coke of Evil called Xal’atath. Sylvanas is much scarier than she is.

None actually. If they would quit trying to make the Horde edgelordy by nuking Alliance cities unprovoked we wouldn’t be having this problem.

I just want to be clear. This thread was started by someone who plays Horde, wishing the Horde could be evil. It is not a thread created by Alliance players to attack the Horde.

However, if you want to start bringing up how mean the big bad Alliance is, may I just mention Theramore and Teldrassil. There were children in that tree that the Horde burned down.

For the record: I don’t view the “Alliance versus Horde” conflict as good versus evil. Both sides are morally dubious (except for Sylvanas. She was not “morally grey”, she was evil. Garrosh, for all his flaws, knew there was a line that you didn’t cross, as his actions at Thal’darah Grove showed).

Horde was the furry faction first. Tauren, Trolls can have fur, and 3/4 races turning into a spirit wolf.

Wouldn’t be too crazy considering all the genocide we do as player characters. :joy:

No, he wasn’t. Dude was for the people and gave out free health care. Garrosh is the health insurance CEO or Gallywix, both that got ousted by the horde for being terrible.

Wars, Genocide, and ect… Which is good in fictional stories and i’m all for that. WoW stories is about War and Genocide and in which it has been going on for the past 30 years. Now all of sudden the players ( new players ) want a Disney type World of Warcraft? Everyone sings kumbaya at a camp fire :fire:? What the fudge is wrong with you players? This is World of Warcraft not World of Friendlycraft.

Must be rough playing half a man.

Had Garithos survived to see the Alliance rebuilt be would have been executed for treason.

I would like to join Xal’atath please. It’s not fair that I was forced to betray her on my shadow priest. I miss my knaifu waifu and now she’s mad at me :dracthyr_cry_animated:

I think there is a question as to whether or not the Horde was ever more evil than the Alliance. As early as “Warcraft I, Orcs & Humans” you could play either side and about the only difference back then had something to do with respect for trees.

theres always the scarlet crusade tabard if on alliance you want to larp and on horde they’re adding the iron horde/hellscream tabards in mop and wod timewalking if you want to larp as one of those guys

Goblins are holding up the Horde through sheer rizz alone.

Not joking- Blizzard missed some risque art and goblin pin-up calendars are still around lol.

Iirc Garithos wasn’t actually part of the Alliance then since Lordaeron had fallen

And in any case the Alliance Of Lordaeron isn’t the Grand Alliance

We don’t need that historical scrub when we have our own more recent sins to be held accountable for.

What Blizzard should have done with TWW is ask the players if they wanted to join Xal’atath side. That way the players will have option to choose. Some players like myself wanted to be on the bad guy / girl side.

Same with Star Wars, i would have chosen the Sith over the Jedi.

I mean, in the game we beat the bad guys. So if the Horde are the bad guys, then they should have vanished long ago. So Blizz is doing a thing keeping them there. :+1:

Maybe is time for players like myself to have a new Evil faction to join since the Horde is all washed up.
