Can we not redeem Sylvanas? Please?

We don’t need another Sarah Kerrigan or Illidan. Can the bad guy just stay bad for once?

Too late. She is already on her path of redemption. She will set us all… free!

PS: Sylvanas is blergh.

What I don’t get is what she’s off her rocker about. Like, is she trying to make us all immortal gods equal to the Titans or some malarky like that?

I love her. Redeem her; please Blizz. PLEASE!

If she was in the right the entire time, then it’s not a redemption arch it’s simply a everything done in the darkness comes to light arch.

Which means it’s us who would be needing redeeming for ever doubting her

No, see, she’s not going to be in the right with this. So she’s killed so many for some insane death god and no matter what her goal was, the price isn’t worth it. We’ll come in and put her down like the rabid dog she is.

I have… ideas I guess(?) about where she’s going with her narrative? But it’s weird. I get the feeling that the writing staff is torn on which direction they want to take her, just like how they took Garrosh.

It’s cool if you want to make your character morally grey, but the thing about grey morality is that you have to show your audience bits of white here and there, otherwise everything is going to look evil as all hell, and some “big reveal” of “they were doing x for the greater good the entire time” will seem shallow at best and disingenuous at worst.

Just like with Illidan!

“As long as Teldrassil remains ash and cinders, so too will my hatred of Sylvanas. Death to the Forsaken; Death to the Banshee Queen!”

Oh I am sure we are all going to learn that what she did was all for the “greater good“ eventually. Even when we do I will always dislike her.

I don’t think they are going to redeem her. I do think they will give Arthas the Illidan treatment though.

Exactly like with Illidan. Hell, I’d even say Illidan was worse because of them using X’era as the medium of telling us his supposed motive. What made it all the more sour was the whole “Oh, you just understand. It was you who were in the wrong the entire time, not him~”

Like… okay, which fanboy wound up writing this fanfic and getting it into Blizzard’s writing staff?

Except one of the lead writers has a huge statue of her behind him and his self-insert OC is now in a relationship with her…

I don’t care what happens to Sylvanas. She’s Horde’s problem. Let them deal with it.

They hardly are capable of dealing with their own problem we usually have to clean up their mess

I think my greatest fear is that they will somehow drag Anduin into the whole thing and he will do something to help her somehow in the end. I would die. I like Anduin and I understand that would totally be in his character but I don’t want to see him help her after all she did.

He takes pity on her and turns her back into a High Elf?

I think that might be the intended goal.

Nah. I’m not worried at all that they’ll try to redeem her. Her story is a pretty straight forward story. She died and she didn’t like where she went in death. Now she’ll do ANYTHING to prevent her soul from ever returning to that dark void again.

I think the Jailor is going to turn out to be a good guy. (Leaked picture he looks like a nice old man) We will beat him down but learn some secret about the shadowlands(most likely the Light invaded and took over, Arbiter is Evil). We will forgive Sylvanas due to some Mcuffin power the Jailor has that will return everyone back to life.
