Yeah, it’s shocking how similar Cata phase 1 and MoP phase 1 has gone.
Both expansion’s first phases had multiple raids, Cata’s raids were considerably better though. Both expansions get a filler ‘phase’ between raid tiers. Again, at least in Cata we got ZG and ZA. Phase “2” in MoP was Shieldwall and Brawler’s Guild. And in both Cata and MoP phase 1/‘2’ massively overstayed their welcome.
So far MoP phase 1 has just been temu Cataclysm. The raids are worse, the filler ‘phase’ is worse, and their class balancing is starting to rear its head in the DPS rankings.
