Can We Make Transmog Stick On a Slot Please

Can we just make it like ESO where if you transmog an equip slot then it stays like that, even if you change your gear. It’s a really minor thing but it would be greatly appreciated

I kind of enjoy being in miss-matched gear at the start of patches / leveling.
But overall this would be a better change.

I do like the concept, though it probably would #costusaraidtier if I understand how transmog currently works correctly. You’re slapping a different ID on an existing item, they’d have to move that to the itemslot instead. I have to imagine this change would actually be better performance-wise though, considering separate transmogs per spec.

Hmm, might even cost us an entire expansion as they would have to have a large portion of their team on it

but then you dont spend gold.

even ffxiv doesnt have it but their glamming is free

Well let’s be honest, the amount of times it would take the player to transmog to have ANY sort of affect to their gold count is in at least the triple digits, so honestly it doesn’t do anything other than make you look ugly until you get to a place you can use your transmog mount or go back to SW/Org

its why i dont know why they even have a gold price for transmog

On the one hand, there’s the question of ‘how useful is tmog as a gold sink?’; on the other hand, people sometimes still change their transmog regularly so you could keep the gold cost and it would still be doing its job as a gold sink. You could even justify increasing the cost dramatically to account for transmogging the appearance on the slot and not the item.

I doubt it will make much of a difference as a gold sink or not. If I run 1 calling I can afford probably 2-3 full transmogs, that is not including if you do all the gold wq, use your soulbind that drops bags of AH material, or looting chests for the calling.

I agree, gold on the table every day, and if you have some alts and stay on top of the callings, the game pays itself. So yeah, for me transmogging some items/a full set is a non-issue. But there are people that are legit broke, comparatively, so I dunno.

Rift was like this as well, and i thought it was awesome. you could even buy (hint, hint blizz) extra costume slots which saved your full xmogs to swap full sets.

One of the reasons I never paid attention to transmog at all was my lack of gold. Until this release I was usually low on money and refused to dish out the gold for something that would be temporary at best until the next bit of gear came along.

If it had been on the slot, definitely worth the spend to care. LoTR has a nice method, you put the cosmetic on the slot and can save a ‘set’ to swap to. You have a small number of save sets but can buy more save slots for fast swapping.

I love playing with the transmogs there.

I 100% agree, but maybe someone else already said that they like transmog as a gold sink.

There should also be multiple transmog appearances, like mog 1, mog 2, 3, etc. So you pay to customize each one but you can change between them while out of combat whenever you want.

And armor restrictions should be dropped.

I think this is a really good idea, having multiple sets you can change to, and of all the people saying that it is a gold sink Blizzard could just lock the sets behind a set amount of gold you have to pay for a new one

Necroing this post and not even feeling bad about it.
