I feel like this would be a great quality of life improvement if all my garrison progress was combined between multiple characters.
I guess the issue is that there is some customization that would stop it. But it is annoying when I have a new alt and my garrison has nothing : (

It’s an essential part of the game. Quality of life feature, and it’s weird that it is gated behind a long intro and once it’s unlocked then well, the grind is nuts.
Plus garrison’s also bottle neck quests that are also essential for toys, drops, etc
And WoD LFR…
Bare minimum it would be nice if the auction house robot was available immediately to your alts once you get the trading post upgraded on them, instead of having to rebuild it every single time.
How do you do that when every garrison can have different buildings?
Yeah I have two characters with the auction house in their Garrisons but I couldn’t stomach grinding it out on more.
The Auction House Brutosaur alleviated that stress, to be sure. But not everyone has it.
Maybe give us the option to use any Garrison in our Warband with a toggle?
I s’pose they’re looking for the progress itself (getting to level 3) rather than the buildings.
This is the way I’d prefer.
I’m not much of a roleplayer these days, but having an instanced space with some level of customization is nice and I definitely made use of it last time I was active in that scene (which, coincidentally, was WoD).
I had a character specifically stay at level 2 Garrisons because the aesthetic is different. Obviously my actual main was level 3 with everything unlocked.
And then there’s the actual intentional customization features (mostly just trophies, banners, guards, and the exact structures built).
Don’t force a global Garrison.
If anything, keep it as is, move the LFR NPC to Stormshield, and add skip options to the Garrison questline and upgrading process so jumping to what’s needed to work on quests and such is as simple as possible.
blizzard absolutely could do that, but they wont considering player housing is right around the corner and is account wide, they arent going to make garrisons account wide because they’re gonna want people buying midnight for the houses

Warbound Garrisons wouldn’t work because different professions need different set ups. My tailor and leatherworker need the barn for materials, but my engineer and Blacksmith would rather have anything else in that slot, for example.
What they need to do is cut out the extravagant gold costs for everything. The Garrison isn’t making gold anymore, there’s no reason it should cost so much.
Maybe the upgrade levels and followers.
But yeah, the buildings wouldnt work, due to how they were mainly intended for Professions.
You can also just take the portal to Ashran, ride a gryphon to your Garrison, and fly out to the crashed boat. Velen will be right there to lead you to the site so you can do like three quests to start building instead of the entire Dark Portal assault.

Make ONE garrison and all your alts can use it, like housing thats coming soon.

That is a good tip, but it will doesn’t negate the time sync into expanding a garrison, which most don’t enjoy.
