No it should be as close to pure vanilla as possible.
What’s next? An In game clock? A guild bank will ruin the pure spirit of Vanilla.

Yes, pure vanilla with hunters getting kings, Druids getting Windfury, and Paladins getting a mobile tremor totem. To say nothing about rogues, locks, and shaman tanks and Mage healers.

I’m fine with guild banks.
They’re slightly more transparent than toons the GM or officers use to hold guild gear/mats.

By vanilla do you mean having multiple lvl one chars just acting as guild banks ?
Guild banks is a direct improvement to the game with 0 downsides theres no reason to not add them

Curious. Why does the implementation of guild banks bother you, considering this is not a reproduction of a ‘no changes’ server?

Because guild banks goes against the spirit of Vanilla, against its very essence. Class tinkering, boss buffing, new raid and creating an outdoor pvp zone are just minor changes to gameplay and don’t affect the Vanilla experience as a whole.
Guilds banks ruin the spirit of trust one has with their guildmaster and their bank alt. It’s not just that old fashioned trust but coming together to come up with solutions to problems such as not having a shared bank. If we rob people of these solutions and Blizzard create their own, we undermine the trust and problem solving that is in the essence of the Vanilla Spirit and why we enjoy Vanilla in its original form.
The same could be said about many other systems destroyed through convenience, such as immersion into the game world ruined by that stupid in game clock.
