Marks of Honor were still obtainable until the 3.3.3 patch, after which they weren’t, and you could turn the ones you did get before 3.3.3 for 185 honor each.
Would be nice if they could at the very least still be obtainable during the pre-patch, so that you don’t have to max all marks of honor BEFORE the prepatch if you want as much honor as possible to turn in as soon as you ding 80. Also I bet people want to try out the new specs in BGs during the pre-patch a lot more than before it!
And yes you can still farm honor during the prepatch, but if you want to farm 100x of each mark before the prepatch, you will probably be honor capped anyway.

If we are gonna have the 3.3.5 patch then we won’t have PvP marks.
They’ll probably reset honor/marks like they did back then. Stacking 75k honor + 400 marks x 185 = 74 000 is a bit overkill. During WOTLK reset (3.0.X) marks were converted in golds.
It’s really easy/fast to get PvP gear in Wrath : honor from HK were doubled, BGs are faster and give a ton of honor, daily quest, Wintergrasp quests, Archavon Vault…

So what you’re saying is that all marks of honor get converted to gold when prepatch releases? Any source on that?
We’re not operating on Patch 3.3.5 outright - it’s only for certain parts of the game, not for everything.
In no Patch (3.0.2 - 3.0.9) were Marks of Honor converted into gold.
In Patch 4.0.1, Badges of Justice were removed and exchanged for gold (1 Badge = 1g83s30c)
In Patch 3.3.3, Marks of Honor could be exchanged for Honor Points (185 Honor Each) as they were no longer required to purchase equipment/items.
We also will not have Wintergrasp included in the same way as the original Lich King did. Battles won’t take place anymore.

Can’t find the source anymore but when you type “WOTLK 2008 honor reset” you can find blue post telling they were resetting honor & marks. So, someone asked if they were just gonna delete marks or give any sort of compensation and golds was the answer.
I don’t remember what happened back then this is just the informations i found.
Ok thanks. I just hope the meta won’t be to farm everything before prepatch and actually give us the time during prepatch to farm either honor and marks if marks don’t get removed.

On this page, the Blizzard representative clarified that Honor and Marks were not to reset with the release of Lich King, but Arena Points were to be.

Nice. Look like they were planning to reset honor/marks but in fact they didn’t.
