And thank everyone who complained about the melee meta for so long? Yall are the real MVPs in creating this abomination of a meta currently in place. Now we have destro locks and fire mages that can just auto win games if they happen to land 1 cast. Locks and Spriests are actual tanks as well. Frost mage is untouchable. The best part? There’s nothing you can do about it. Whenever you join a game and see a warlock or a fire mage, you know exactly how the entire game is going to go. You can do everything right against someone slapping their keyboard like a brain dead chimp, but you make 1 tiny little mistake, it can cost you the game.

So once more shout out to everyone who whined about melee, you guys created this fun and engaging gameplay. This is your expansion.

I will whine as much as I feel like til I don’t feel like a dog being kicked while it down tyvm.

I am a sad lizard this season cuz I actually tried to push for rating, hit 2k, and then tanked back down. My feelz

I just think it’s funny. All the people complaining about gpyro and chaos bolt were the same ones crying about “melee meta” for the past 4 years.

Kite infernal, line mage and gg. Melee-mongo is soooo different, right? Two kids doing pve rotation without landing any ccs until something dies…

The fact is, the game as whole, sucks…

this meta is actually infinitely better than mongo melee tho?
everyone knows it takes much mroe skill to play a caster than a mongo melee. If ur not 3500 rated playing melee last season u are a rival at BEST as a caster

nice joke. I rather be run down by mouth breathing turbo players then play against nerds who think it takes 200 iq to play caster.

I think the biggest tilting part of this season is the fact that most of the casters are as tanky or tankier then plate melee. Destro, Spriest, Boomie, and arguably Ele have such strong natural defenses it’s really hard to keep pressure with the spammable CC their comps run as long as at least one of these classes is on the enemy team. The trade off for being a cloth class was having great burst that bypassed armor and being susceptible to physical damage. Now… not so much.

Anyone who thinks that the whining (or constructive feedback) of the general WoW population has had any impact on Blizzards decision making around pvp balance has been living in a cave in Afghanistan and doesn’t play this game.

Ele snuck up on me seems they starting to sprout out the ground everywhere. Lightning lasso hits like a truck wouldn’t be surprised that gets a nerf. Was messing around on 120 ilvl 362 warrior I had a ele hit me with two Lasso both times doing about %35 of my hp each time. And kiting is nice with good instant dmg and utility.

Crazy thing about alot of these casters outside of Warlock is they can off heal good too. I think PvP is to far gone now to ever become something reasonably balanced. I knew it wasn’t going to get any better.when they created a class like DH lol. If they didn’t have enough problems to worry about and deal with.

Explain or argue how ele is so tanky with one defensive cd.

Ele is so easy to lockdown, actually all shaman have historically been amazing train targets, let’s not pretend otherwise

This game is not so one dimensional that all you can think about it having one wall as a cooldown…It has more to do with Ele shamans overall current kit. Knockback, root totem, cap totem, lightning lasso usable while moving, immunity to slow in ghost wolf (this is the big one), amazing offheals, earth shield, and yes wall on a decently short cooldown.

It’s hard to stick on an Ele if he doesn’t want you to, at least the good ones. Especially since if he decides to kite you in ghost wolf he will run you into his freecasting teammate who gets free reign on you until he has enough maelstrom to lightning lasso and one shot with earthshock.

Agree this meta kind of sucks. I’m all for strong burst windows, but fire mages whole match is strong burst windows.

I didn’t push ratings after patch drop and that was top 900 before the ladder became more inflated
