Why do we have to do all of those Nazjatar and magni quests before Mechagon opens now? Just immediately let us go to Mechagon. You have the damn dungeon in there. Let us access it without problems. I only have 1 character with the ability to go to mechagon right now, and it’s not even my main. The character I want to actually go through mechagon with still has to do all the prerequisites… why? What a waste of time. I’m not doing them. Just open it up. Put the flight point there from the get-go. Who cares about the lore or whatever implications. It’s old content. Doesn’t make any sense to be going back there during shadowlands anyways.

Wait what? I’m pretty sure you can just fly there. I don’t recall doing that obnoxious questline more than 1-2x for both Horde and Alliance.

You don’t. It’s a few quests. You can skip all the Nazjatar quests after you return from that scenario in Highmountain, because the gnome on the mechanostrider is waiting for you. Right there.
I just want to go immediately. I don’t want to do any quests, period. Just wanna do the damn dungeon. Nothing more.
I know you can just fly there, I did it on quite a few alts during BFA to farm for mounts that never dropped.
Not sure if the dungeon is locked out though. Probably worth a try at the very least.

I don’t even have flying unlocked in bfa. I never bothered to play that expansion. So no I can’t just fly there. Not unless I get someone to fly me there personally, which is way more effort than it needs to be.
Well, these are the only 3 ways to get to the physical entrance of the dungeon for better or worse.
- Unlock flight.
- Do the intro quest line.
- Hire a chauffeur to take you there.
If it’s just one character, the short intro quest is your best bet. If you’re looking to bring an army of alts, unlocking flight is the way to go.
In 10.0 flight should be unlocked in BFA for everyone afaik.
The flightpath doesn’t appear until after you finish the whole intro questline, which means you have to go to Nazjatar first, after completing all the other BfA main quests, too
