Rushing content is still bad though I am enjoying the game atm I just wish Cata got a bit more attention, could make it a really good game
I wouldn’t say it’s stupid to ask for the thing that’s on its way to arrive faster. Depending on how you look at it, you might say it’s cute that someone is anticipating something’s arrival so much they “just can’t wait” for it.
Someday someone might look back on this post and Firelands will have been long past.

This was the most blatant cash grab I have ever seen, as little effort as possible and give the classic players cata so they stick around longer

u not wrong, wrath was way better.
devs were not ready for all the talents, ability changes and the whole revamp of the world. it’s clear lots of classes are still super buggy.

pandaland does not need to be s-teir, just better than cata so maybe c-tier. An expansion which people have hype for, is good and whales can spend money on. Though pandaland might not be the worst expansion to stop at.

I’ve been playing it, and it’s keeping me busy. I am still learning hunter. I’ve gotten much more comfortable with the class now, so that’s one thing. I have only been able to raid on weekends, due to RL being busy during the week, so I’m doing that pretty casually, doing TB dailies a couple of times a week, and messing around in arenas a bit.
I ended up buying the new Retail expansion to try it out, too, and I find it to be pretty interesting too.
From my point of view, I haven’t paid anything for Cata, and haven’t even paid a sub for well over a year. Tokens were so cheap on the AH (about 4K) at the beginning of Cata, I suppose that that means a lot of people were buying them to sell, so maybe that was the cash grab you mean, but I haven’t paid anything for well over a year… (I paid for a year sub for Wrath Classic, then used gold from in game, other than for TWW).
I’m not sure who Cata Classic was ever meant to appeal to, but I sort of think that the Classic progression series is at a point now where it’s like, if you’ve gotten this far, may as well be playing Retail, and if you haven’t there’s always Classic Era.
I’m not sure if SoD is meant as a gateway to Era for Retail players, or the reverse, or if that’s just some coincidence, and I doubt that Cata was ever intended to be a stepping stone towards TWW, but that is somewhat what it feels like, to me at least.
So, why am I still playing Cata Classic?
Yeah, I don’t know, but I am, and I’m enjoying it.
