why is chorefinder still a thing? it was derived from 100% spite when they tried to take flying away in tables of dranor. just have both as options day 1. give people options
Dynamic flight is roughly three to four times better than static flight, so I donāt care.
for longer flights but really short ones BC is better. and static flying mounts dont need a inhailer dynamic has a serious stamina problem
Whereās it even required still? Shadowlands?
So many annoying things in your first post that I hate agreeing with you.
But I do agree with you. Static flight is at best a nuanced tool; situationally useful, but vastly inferior when it comes to actual travel. Thereās no reason to lock it behind pathfinder.
Yes it was, 100%. I was there, Gandalf, I was there 3k years ago, when Ion tried to take flight away, the day the strength of wings failed.
Dude has always hated flight. He thinks it somehow takes away from the experience of the game, even though it enhances it.
I will say the same thing I said all those years ago: Flight is a can of worms that can never be put back into a tube of toothpaste.
when im forced to do something a certain way before i can do it the way i want im turboing through it, not reading a single thing. all that time wasted writing that story because bliz chose to lock flying behind a annoying wall for no reason
Neither do my dynamic fliers. Have you tried unlocking all the Dragonriding glyphs to open up all the skills? If you already have, then perhaps you need some flight lessons from a dragonrider. Maybe take a few of those Dragonriding courses to learn the basics.
This is what I do: I rush through on my Main, unlock Pathfinder, and then redo the story on an alt.
i could care less and you cant afk on a dynamic. you cant just set it and go. if something is close by im not dealing with that im just using static flying instead of waiting for stamina
I use both of them in the older worlds. Regular flight is like a helicopter, better for close in work, and dragon flight is like a jet airplane for when you want to cover a lot of distance.
In fact one thing I do if I want to go a long distance is use regular flight to get to the top of a near by mountain then launch my dragon from there.
If you are āwaiting for staminaā you are doing something wrong. That means you are wasting momentum, or do not have the full glyphs unlocked. You are literally tying both wings behind your back for no reason.
Obviously since you cared enough to type up two responses to me alone.

Ok?
If youāre waiting on Vigor to get to something āclose byā then youāre just bad at dynamic flight. Cheers.
Forumites will do anything in order to complainā¦
Hopefully it wonāt be in the future, but yeah, there is no reason for it. No matter how much schadenfreude people want to garner from the OG flight respecters, itās destined for the garbage bin.
For realā¦
Pathfinder just gotta go in the dustbin of history at this point, just unlock both forms of travel from the very first day/day 1 of TWW⦠let the player choose how he wants to play
df is just tedius for no reason. i drive manual in real life and love it. do i want manual flying in wow nah hard pass
It aint even manual. You spend some vigor getting up in the air, point down, and bobs your uncle, you can coast the rest of the way to your objective.
you have to maintain it vs space bar aim with mouse. short trips i use static every time. if tww is df 2.0 it looks like dungeon grinding to cap again. and wait for glyphs to be mapped.
And donāt forget, disability/accessibility types might have physical problems with using Dragonriding since it literally requires 2 hands to use (one hand on the keyboard, one hand on the mouse). Also, depending on their health condition(s), the high-speed animations and rapidly flashing lights/visual effects can possibly affect vision, cause seizures, cause dizziness, etc etc
On the other hand, with regular flying it requires no āworkā to maintain the flight. And you can literally do your flying with just one hand on the mouse (friendlier for accessibility/disabled types)
Itās basically a mirror comparison to automatic transmissions vs manual transmissions⦠automatic transmission (ā¦regular flying) in a car means you just get in the car and go without having to ādoā anything, manual transmission (ā¦Dragonriding) in a car means you have to be āactively involvedā or ādo somethingā in order for the car to move. And if you donāt handle yourself properly with a manual transmission? The car can stall out (ā¦the Dragonriding mount will fall to the ground if you donāt constantly maintain the āminigameā)
i daily drive a manual its fun. but for a video game hard pass playing a mini game in a game. even driving manual i can afk cruise once you get up to speed and just maintain gas. you cant afk cruise with DF
