But they are different types of Elfs
Void elfs are shadow infused . Having contact lenses isn’t going to change it
Am I going to be a completely different race because I wore contacts ?

I don’t think that will be available to them. The High Elves joined the Horde, so it wouldn’t make sense to call the High Elves that were kicked out of the Horde for mutating themselves “High Elves” again.
Well, if you put on 100lbs you apparently come from a remote island with an entirely different culture, so…
The Silver Covenant paladin trainer is a high elf. There are only a few dozen Silver Covenant explicitly in the game, so the fact that they have a Paladin trainer seems like good reason to include the class for an Alliance high elf race, even if that’s not a class that one personally doesn’t associate with high elves.
We understand perfectly, but consider this; most people (in fact ALL people) currently who have Void elves ground out the rep for it, across the Legion campaign of Argus, and now you want them to have to put more work in to get glyphs and stuff to STAY a Void Elf? While we’re at it let’s make all DRAENEI LF ja?
There is no playable high elf. You will all just be doing in game cosplay.
Blizzard said they are adding more customization so we can make our characters the way we want them to be, such that we can make a Wildhammer Dwarf out of a Dwarf. If that same intent also applies to Void Elves (and I think it’s fair to assume it does), then would that not mean that Blizzard wants us to be able to make our Alliance High Elf characters out of Void Elves?
Lol, I’m sure he’d do just that after what happened to him in WC III.
Keep dreaming!
Horde High Elves says otherwise, Blizzard themselves said otherwise
But your not getting a ‘High Elf Race’ you are getting Belf skins and eyes for Velves that will allow you to look closer to a High Elf. The race is still Velf despite the desperate screeching of some players. So no, giving Velves Paladins (Void race in a Light based class) does not make sense. And Void Elves are the race you have, not High Elves.
The mouse will get what he’s given because he’s in no position to demand anything.
He can take what he gets, or he can leave it.
I agree. I don’t think paladins should be added to void elves. I think high elves should be added, with paladins.
This is cannonicaly correct.
He was raised by vereesa, along with her own sons.
Because the playable “high” elves for the alliance is infused with the void, and changed in a way. As soon as they did that, they no longer are a high elf.
Paladins aren’t really a high elf thing. There was a Silver Covenant trainer like 4 expansions ago and an NPC that might have been a paladin but was probably a spell breaker in the background somewhere.
/fixed 10 char
No it means they took the easy way out and threw out everything else that goes with the race. When I mouseover it still says void elf. You don’t get your own racial. Or heritage stuff. Or hubs etc. It’s just basically a racial transmog.
no
What is the high elf racial? Where is there starter zone and lore for the player to engage? Nah, this is like putting on a sylvanas costume and saying you are a dark ranger.
Even then, which Alliance high elf group would they be? One group are bad guys and one group hasn’t been seen in over a decade and might not still be there. The final group is just a bunch of human side kicks living in Stormwind.
