That’s what rated BGs are for, you should be happy that you get conquest (rated PvP currency) at all from unrated BGs.
there’s literally no cons to allowing people to gear faster especially now that it’s being gated.
I do arenas, both brackets and RBGs. RBGs also take way longer to even que for.
I prefer arenas. 8000 conquest to earn is awful and I have multiple characters.

agree conquest gains should be doubled or tripled for toons more than 1k away from the current cap
It should be at least 100 per win (In ANY category). There’s literally no reason to NOT increase it. It just makes progression slower and time gates gear; ie; keeping more active subs.

shouldn’t even be per win imo. the whole point should be to facilitate balanced pvp. not serve as a reward. If classes are out of balance, gear is an easy way to correct that. Its WHY we had pvp gear in the first place. Resilience and PvP specific equip & set bonus’ to bring classes up to par in areas they were lacking, or a QoL change. Like Reduced Polymorph cast time, intercept cooldown reduction, Fear Duration, Cyclone Cast time, etc…
I feel like people are really underselling how important PvP gear was to pvp when talking about how it used to be obtained. And not in the sense that “wow I’m 215 ilvl” but in the sense that 4set, and equip bonuses were part of how our classes got balanced and brought up into a competitive state.
They could really easily fix things for PvP class balance and design by re-implementing class specific set bonuses that do one of the things everyone’s always talking about - Buffing the underperforming classes. This would ofc mean buffing the overperforming classes, but that’s part of the fun & challenge in game design, making sure not to overdo it. Blizzard needs to get their head back on straight.
I really miss the tier set bonuses for pvp, they were an amazing thing with even small changes to specs that felt janky to play.
Increasing the amount of conquest isn’t going to fix it.
