you mean tabards that grant extra reputation from dungeons?
because we still have tabards on rep vendors… at exalted…
I always thought rep tabards were stupid.
Adventurer: “I’m going into this dungeon to kill stuff!”
Faction: “We don’t care.”
Adventurer: “I’m going into this dungeon to kill stuff AND I’LL WEAR YOUR LOGO LIKE A NASCAR DRIVER!”
Faction: “Oh you’re the best! Here’s a bunch of rep!”

the way i see it work is, its the enemies that see the tabard and then spread roomers about you that indirectly increases your reputation with the associated faction.

I’d rather have the BoA Rep boosters from MoP for alt catchup, though I think they should be restricted to Exalted rather than Revered.
Who cares. I want a way to gain experience and if by wearing their piece of cloth will give it to me then I’m fine with it

lets just do panda land style. Main character buys an account wide rep bonus for the account so alts rep faster with no other extra steps.
or the little check box for heroic dungeon rep grinds, to incentivize, everyone to still do heroic dungeons when they over gear it buy about 80 ilvl
Tabards should never have gone away. Forcing you to do wq’s forever or some other garbage boring quest over and over again to get rep sucks. I like doing dungeons. I should be able to get rep from something I enjoy, not suffering through something I hate doing. It’s a game afterall.

The idea behind a tabard is to show you represent a particular group, kingdom, lord, etc… It’s so word spreads of your actions.

Depending on rep, you can get that faction’s contract and then gain the rep 10 at a time doing a whole bunch of other world quests 
I think it would be great if they brought them back but only as a catch up mechanic. For example when a catch up gear vendor gets added then also add in the rep tabards but only for the older reps that you would expect a main character to be done with. Feels like a happy medium.
It’s so weird that tabards once helped us gain reputation, and are now a capped rep reward.

Weren’t tabards only for reps in Wrath and Cata that had head enchants at revered?
Since that was the only way to get them?
And hybrids needed more than 1 rep (Druids 4) for their off specs.

Yup. While gaining rep in dungeons was kind of obscene, it would be nice to be able to gain extra rep from appropriate WQs while wearing it. Just replace contracts with repping your target faction.
Now I feel like I’m about to go down the slide on Pirates of the Caribbean. lol
