It seems like every boss fight is a healer check, Hoi 3rd boss, lair worm, neltharus blah blah blah.
It seems like the only fight that actually has a pure dps check is the first boss on lair where you have to nuke the ads asap or you wipe. We need more of those bosses to even out party responsibilities I think
If its fun and engaging gameplay to pump out 160k HPS on a tyranical hoi boss in order to time, it should also be expected some boss’s require you to do 160k dps in order not to wipe beyond just that one boss on lair.

I do miss fights like Rotface and Festergut. They should bring those back, instead of all the fancy mechanics.

That’s not an equal comparison, because its 1 healer and 3 dps. I guess they could increase boss hp so that all 3 dps need to output 160k, but then healer would probably need to do more hps, or last the additional duration.

failed dps checks become healer checks until u get to the key level where a failed dps check leaves ur team floor pov

no need to increase boss hp, just have different mechanics to where you need to save your damage CDs for a specific ad or mechanic and if you fail to have that damage CD for this specific part everyone wipes. doesn’t have to be the same as the healer’s output but it should require game knowledge to know when to use your big damaging abilities

dps checks just means healers contribute towards dps because it matters. Then you try healing with way less healing potential.
Now, maintain like 40k dps and keep everyone up heh.

ok, and? so you are for healers checks but you are scared of added responsibility on the DPS, do you not trust DPS can save a CD for specific ad phases?

I’m saying dps will do what they do, and healer makes up any shortfall to prevent wipes.
Don’t we already have that? Run a high enough key on BH, and you need those burst moments because that totem going off even once is a significant problem. I guess you could ramp up the damage so it’s a necessity at every key level, but given how their scaling works…

it’s not added responsibility, it just means the healer does damage since it’s the easiest solution to the problem.
Rather have keys be bricked because it’s impossible to survive than go 5 mins over time since it’s mathematically impossible to meet the dps requirements.

no, it means the dps have to be smart enough to save a big burst cooldown for specific moments in a fight. thats all. that should be a requirment but you seem scared of it? lol

There are more soft dps checks than people realize:
Vortex pinnacle last boss.
First boss in halls of infusion
Last boss of brackenhide hollow
Magmatusk in Neltharus
Second boss in Uldaman.

i dont want soft checks i want hard checks like lair tho, where if you fail to get a ad or totem its a wipe. Out of 8 dungeons there should be more of those
Why would you want that? That just means it’s now the healer’s job to make up the difference if it’s sketchy.
