I think it has been long enough since the zones came out, can we enable flying now?

They’d have to rebuild the entire zone for that. Much of it is smoke and mirrors to look correct from the ground/FPs and isn’t actually complete. It’d be neat but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

You mean that zone nobody goes to outside a small handful of roleplayers?
Not if the normal-heroic elitists have a say in it they want nothing for the casual type player.
They’ve said it’s because most of Silvermoon City is actually 2D made to look 3D. They’d have to redo most of the zone for it.
I remember in Cata beta they said they originally were working on connecting BE/Draenei starting zones to Kalimdor/EK officially, but the amount of stress on the servers and the amount of re-modeling/texturing they’d have to do juts wasn’t worth it.

If you ever wall jumped above Silvermoon back in the day, you could see how unfinished it was.
Eversong is full of invisible walls, but Silvermoon is the big problem. Personally, I think they should cover it with an arcane dome that can’t be flown through, and allow flying in Eversong.

Eversong doesn’t need to be. The invisible walls are the only thing. Otherwise it’s finished and without gaps.
IIRC, isn’t it mostly just Silvermoon City and the connected parts of it?
If I recall, Exodar isn’t fully 3D either lol.
There are a few issues and ZA is another problem. I’d like to see the whole place rebuilt and the freaking Sunwell moved closer the way it should be.

the surfaces are not all solid and you’d see holes in the world and stuff. they’d need a major rework to make them flight-ready.
You used to be able to fly in Eversong Woods using toys from WoD, and if you did you’d see why it isn’t enabled. In fact you can still reach areas that aren’t supposed to be reachable using something like the jump buff from Necronomicon. Large parts of the zone are unfinished
Oh darn… I saw this thread and I thought I might have been able to grab that before someone else, but I was beaten.
