I checked to see if any of these exist in lore, and I guess not, but I thought it would be a really cool combination.
Basically, these half Dragon half Elven people would combine the Elven magical stuff with Dragon ferocity and unpredictability to create an unusual and quirky racial option.
It seems to me that many Dragons are fond of elven visages, so it doesn’t seem like a leap to say that perhaps some of them got to really liking actual elves, and there you go, new playable race.
They could come with a new class like the disciple of kaine from Warhammer Online, like magical warrior types, not like DKs or Paladins like heavy on the magic and kind of light on armor. Or the Weaver from Guild Wars 2, just mages with a sword or something, something that focuses on the magic part as dps from ranged or melee but with overpowering melee abilities also, almost like more versatile rogues or something.
Then maybe they could evasion tank or something for the final spec. Well, that or give rogues the ability to evasion tank as a third spec, that would be fun.
I don’t know why I came up with this idea but I thought it was cool so I wanted to put it out there. I know it’s never going to happen and probably just be ridiculed but I thought of it a long time ago and it seemed cool and then I thought of it again today and felt like writing it down.

Are Drakthyr not dragon elves?
I get that their elven forms are because of their shapeshifting, but still.

Thats literally just the Dracthyr Visage form.

Some “half” races already stretch the limits of biology…but suggesting a genetic combination of a mammal and a reptile might be breaking it. Would it reproduce by laying eggs? Would it’s skin be scales or flesh? Is it warm-blooded or would it need to warm up in the sun before it really gets moving?

Literally just visage mode.

Dragons are a combination of mammals and reptiles though.
They have bat wings. Bats are mammals. Lots of dragons have hair or beards. That’s also mammal stuff.
And if we count Proto-dragons as Dragons (and Vyranoth says we should), some PDs also have bird features, like beaks and feathers.
Granted, Dragons are more reptile than anything else. But they are still a mix of different types of animals.
Plus we have half Orcs half Draenei. That’s species from different planets, far more distantly related than reptiles are to mammals.

My theory for that is any titan-influenced race can mix with any other titan influenced race.
Elves and humans can mix despite having totally different origins because elves became what they are by exposure to Azeroth’s blood in the Well of Eternity while humans are descendants of titan constructs.
We don’t have any explicit proof Argus influenced Draenei development. But we can infer it based on their long lives and arcane mastery, both traits the elves gained in their own conversion.
Since dragons are Titan-made it stands to reason they could mix with humans, elves, ect.

No more elves, there are way too many variations in game already.
Maybe I should start steamrolling elves instead of draenei to help lower the elf population.

I want to microwave all the elves.

But we already have dragon-elves. Create a male draktir or how you call em and use the other form.
