those 20 mins q for an unrated match hit hard when you only have 30-45 mins to play per day haha
it would also be nice if normal BGs would require less people so queues were instant or close to it

You can get the merc buff by the target dummies in Dornogal if you want fast Horde queues.

What are you playing that’s taking 20 minutes??
It’s possible the OP plays during non prime time hours, during which I can understand queue times being longer. It gets worse as the season draws out and more people gradually drop out because they’ve ‘accomplished’ what they want, have given up on whatever, or get bored.
Cross faction itself won’t solve everything, but for this game it feels inevitable. But I don’t think blizz cares. We all just play as long as we’re having enough fun, I guess.

Being able to play traditional Horde vs. Alliance is fun and only possible in randoms.
If you don’t want the long que, merc or roll Ally.

Merc is not really a good solution though. I don’t want my character’s race to change. If I want to play a different race, I make a new character.
Unless of course they changed merc mode to no longer change your race? But I don’t remember seeing that.
Cross faction battlegrounds just make sense now. Nobody cares about it in any rated mode, nobody is going to really care about it for random and epic battlegrounds either.
How long is Blizzard going to hold gameplay hostage to appeal to outdated “faction war” feelings?
If we want more faction warfare we should add some more world PvP content.

They did a better job in classic for this. Your character just wears a halloween mask from the other faction. Not sure why this is not in retail.
You know most horde are Merc’s alliance who use the ground pad to look like their main alliance appearence.
You already don’t notice it, why would it bother you if it was actually cross-faction with better team comps and lower queue times?
Blue vs Red is better overall gain for PVP.

No, its fine. Leave the only mode left with factions alone.
It’s quite obviously not fine. Premades are just one of the reasons why, but there are also other issues that would be solved by making battlegrounds cross faction.
World PvP still has factions.
