Sure in shadowlands us undead are getting the option for no bone exposed undead.
But I do like having some exposed bones.
However I don’t like it when bones are shown in places on clothing that don’t make much sense. Such as getting fresh clothes and then having holes on ones side and shoulders and always on the arm pieces.
I would want an option where even as an exposed bone undead, I can still have certain areas covered by clothing, with no holes/tears.
Leaving the door open for non-ruined clothing while still allowing some exposed bones to be seen. If I am wearing clothing that doesn’t cover my arms or choose to hid arms via transmog, the clothes can be regular while still allowing bones to be seen on the arms, that don’t tarnish the transmog.

if you access to the the bata you can see its a 3 option.
- died a few mins ago. still looks “clean”
- died a few weeks ago, getting a bit gross
- bones, what we got now
sadly theres no “slider” to allow us to pick and choose what bones are sticking out and what are hidden under some fleshy bits

Think the only problem with the non-bones options… Currently, all the cloaks are ripped regardless if your bones are showing or not. It’s kind of weird.

Maybe those cloaks got torn as they came up from the ground. You know, snagged on a root or something?

Hrm…if you can do enough rabblerousing I could see perhaps this happening going forward. I don’t see it, realistically, happening with past gear simply due to the huge amount of time and resources it would require.
Hrm…although SOME might be able to be converted quickly with a simple “Use human model” flag. That might require new coding vs animation and modelling time. If it could be done automatically based on the original models and textures that would save a fair amount of the work.
An interesting point though, good luck with it.

Woulda been nice to have more decay as an option.
I think it’d look cool. Undead casting animations are 10/10.
