Can we have a glyph for weapon/shoulder resizing?

For all weapons and classes, but in particular 2 handed weapon users I think it would be pretty cool if we could get a glyph that allows us to make our weapon smaller. The sword I have equipped right now. I love it, but its so big it clips into the ground. However I don’t want to ruin the fun for those who are just fine with it at that size. So maybe we could get some universal glyphs for changing weapon size? Would love to see that.

EDIT: Also something like this for shoulders would be great too. As some others have pointed out.

As long as we get one to make them bigger as well, I’m game

I want this but for shoulderpads. I want it so badly.

Gnomes used to have really large 2H weapons back in Vanilla, like they’d always clip through the floor.

At some point, that got changed into a more reasonable size.

I think Blood Elf female and Draenei female weapons have also shrank.

They used to be oversized lol, but I think people preferred them that way.

Also a great idea.

That also works, but some people may like them that way. Thats why I am suggesting glyphs rather then globals changes.

I want the option to make polearm’s longer.

A polearm is meant to be long, that’s it’s primary function. I’m sick of “Polearms” that are shorter than half my sword options.

what, you don’t like that your sword is digging a foot into the ground? XD

Not really. I’d prefer if the proportions fit the character size, but I don’t want to ruin it for those who like it that way either.

Caterpillar: One side will make you grow taller…
Alice: One side of what?
Caterpillar: …and the other side will make you grow shorter.
Alice: The other side of what?
Caterpillar: THE MUSHROOM WEAPON GLYPH OF COURSE!!!

I never thought of using glyphs for this, OP, but I think it’s a really sound option. I’d love to see it.

Draenei weapons have stayed the same and they are a reasonable size.

Blood elf weapons got massively inflated with the new models and now they look like balloon weapons.

I want to just hide weapons altogether out of combat, like you can in FFXIV. I’ve been mogging Kingslayers on my rogue just because they’re invisible if you have a backpack cosmetic in your cloak slot. Why would my rogue walk around town with their knives on full display? The whole fun of it is that no one sees your knives until it’s too late.

Honestly some kind of sizing option for weapons and shoulder armor would be amazing. There are so many weapons and armor that i absolutely love but they’re either way to big or way to small

I have the opposite problem… need weapons and shoulders (and honestly overall body sizes) to be bigger/adjustable, especially for some races. It’s why I wanted to play as more female characters, but ultimately couldn’t keep to em because of how tiny the models and gear was at a modest distance, while the male counterparts were perfectly fine at the same distance etc…

Honestly I’d love for them to remove how 3D back pieces hide weapons and just make a separate option to hide sheathed weapons. Cause I love the back pieces but hate that they hide my weapon, I want to be able to have my staff on my back with a backpack or something

One glyph makes you larger and one glyph makes you small. But the ones that Blizzard gives you wont do anything at all. Go ask Ion. When he’s just small.

Sees daggers on belt
“OMG A Rouge!! watch your coinpurses!”

"Waat? Me? No! im a… a… "
What the heck uses daggers?
“… A druid! yes I am a druid! Meow meow! yes! And boy do i LOVE nature!”
pats a nearby flower
“Hello there flower…um… friend! Nice day yes?”

skeptically eyes the “druid”

Yeah I’m for people who want backpack + back-sheathed weapon having the option as well.

I’m all for criticism, but insults are why the developers do not interact with us at all.

An Outlaw rogue would absolutely brandish her weapons. Since I have no choice, I mog that way.

An Assassination rogue would want you to think she was harmless and just like everyone else on the street.

A Sub rogue would not want you to see her at all.

So, since I have no choice, I just mog like a brazen Outlaw Rogue and let it sit like that. Honestly, there’s not much in the way of appropriate rogue options, anyway. Everything has spikes and flames or big plates and embellishments. So…pirate and trashy are the best options out there for class fantasy.

For sin/sub, I hide the daggers with a backpack + Kingslayers. Kingslayers are gaudy but I’m not looking at them when RPing in Stormwind anyway (well I could just take the weapons off my character too, but I like that they’re hidden when running around in the world and I’m not fighting something).

For Outlaw, I like one of the Kul Tiran fencing swords in dexterous hand, and brass knuckles on the sinister hand, so it either looks like an empty hand for balance, or putting the “buckler” in “swashbuckler”.
