You are missing the problem, there ISNT availability to play on the servers. That is the issue at hand and why a refund of game time is owed. The availability we are paying for is not being met by the provider.
Yes yes it is. As there is no guarantee that your 1 little server will not have a queue. There is no guarantee of uptime at all with a WoW sub. Period. add that to the fact that you can play just not on your overcrowded choice of Herod. = no refunds
For all the people saying “they warned you on Herod”
There was ONLY 1 non streamer / Brazilian server added PRIOR TO LAUNCH which was Skeram - which has a queue. On Launch day they added Stalagg which ALSO has queue.
There was no AVAILABLE move that is not also FULL and over populated. Herod isn’t the problem - Post launch even servers like Sulfuras added MUCH later has a QUEUE. There is no move that could be made right now, or prior to launch that changes the circumstance or situation.
And they aren’t offering Free moves to get off Herod.
For All the Geniuses saying anyone on “Herod” Deserves it they were warned - here’s all the Pre-Launch and Day 1 Launch servers that were available to Switch to …explain to me how switching Day 1 from Herod now has any EFFECT on the Queue issue and problem being dismissed by Blizzard…please enlighten me with your intellect.
It’s not that big of a deal to reroll when you are below level 30 and there are servers that have no ques right now…
The launch was a bit of a mess but it has only been 4 days. There is much time ahead for any serious WOW Classic players to play…
Technically, you have a point for refund but for how much? The server has only been up for 4 days and that is at most a couple of dollars, that is if you have a valid claim with reasonable certainty to prove your damages.
The free server transfer is coming as Blizzard said it in a blue post ; it is just not right now as they have much on their plates at the moment.
Normally I do not defend Blizzard like their fan boys on the forum as they are a profit-making company and I am paying so I demand the best services but you gotta cut them some slacks every now and then…
You literally chose the latest server added, and it is already growing in queue population AFTER all the other servers were offered as the overflow server and it’s almost at a 2 hour queue.
…your point is incredibly moot.
Look at Stalagg the first server offered to transfer to, look at Skeram the second…that’s the problem. What was immediately available is already just as bad.
if you live close to work, you can go home for your lunch break and hop into the queue just before you go back to work
you might be near the end of the queue by the time you get back, or back at the password screen because you got through then got booted while you were at work
Blizzard really needs to intervene and do something about the higher population server queue times. The fault for the high queue times lies solely upon them.
They literally took people’s money by telling them to subscribe early and reserve your name, but they didn’t have anywhere near the amount of servers required. This resulted in the earliest realms being extremely overpopulated.
They asked people to change servers, but did not even offer to refund the money they spent to sub early for name reservations. I heard many people state they would not leave high pop servers like Herod because they were worried about their name.
On top of that, as they released new servers, a lot of people did jump from the high population servers, only to meet long queues on those new servers. Why would current players on the high population servers reroll when they will still be met with queue times. Again, this is blizzard’s fault for not releasing nearly enough servers.
The overpopulated high queue times are simply a result of poor planning.
The whole launch just reeks of incompetence, mostly likely caused by some penny pinching executive who either greatly underestimated the demand or simply wanted to get by with spending the bare minimum.
People are most likely not going to switch off these high population servers unless there are free transfers. Even then they may not move off as all their friends and guildmates are on the server. They will most likely just cancel their subscription instead and move on.
in a days there we have several screens and high powered pcs then we did 15 years ago…theres other games you can clearly play while waiting in a que… i said it to most of my friends…blizz was clearly unprepared for this massive launch (they gave beta to how many streamers (who btw to hell with farelina) and 5 stress tests and still it wasnt enough) and are still learning… hell yall were warned about the que times and asked to switch…they made what 10 more servers and are still planning on making more? (correct me if im wrong) stop being a sour puss bro… just accept it for what it is and wait like everyone else… i get prob 4 hours in if im lucky before i go to work at 10 am and have to endure a que when i get home at 8pm…and i sure as hell wont complain cuz i know at some point in time ill get in…i have other things to occupy my time with…same for you buddy…
