I absolutely love delves, i love that its going to be a core part of the end game, but can we get a little creativity and variety? It feels like everything is the same:
Oh this boss summons carts, whats it do? Insta death
This boss summons mushrooms: insta death
This boss has a flamethrower: insta death
This delve has spores : insta death
This boss has rockets: insta death
this boss burrows: insta death
Combined with minions that can 2 shot you, it really feels like there is no creativity left. Instead of minions hitting like trucks, why donât they do debuffs? or lower damage over time? or ramp up? Why not have interesting mechanics instead of turning everything into dark souls where oops you did one thing wrong, insta dead try again. Most classes have 25-30+ buttons now they can use, thatâs plenty of abilities and utilities to keep things interesting, so why does everything just have to be boring bland instakill?
Now imagine doing the bosses in Org that âsteals your soulâ thing that you have to run to it to break the silence/pacification effect but you can only move in the direction a spinny hand is pointing and it only stops spinning while you are moving.
Delves have more varied content then a dungeon. A dungeon is always a dungeon, you know eventually where everything is, but delves change the story around, make you do it in different ways for some of them.
I donât see that happening to Dungeons except when it hits M+, and now even Delves have that.
I see a non-issue here
Oh, and your insta-death thing is bad hyperbole, yes standing in the way of a moving mining cart SHOULD hurt.
