Ok, at first I was very upset they added the blood elf hair styles to the void elves. And then I went in the PTR and oh man.
I turned my blood elf into a void elf and gave her blonde hair with some black tentacles. She’s looking pretty cool now.

The folks on moon guard do not care about lore. They have people who RP literally anything lol.
It’s the WrA players that scare me. Those folks will dig up single lines of quest text for lore discussions.
Back on topic. I think they should loosen up lore restrictions. It’d helps for more player driven stories. So many people are some race/class combo in their RP add on.

Sadly most of the WRA population moved to MG, and many of us (even me and aggro over there) moved. It’s not as bad as it used to be.

WRA is dead already. MG is all that alliance RP population has. Thanks to people who complained for non sense and now have copy pasted customizations.
So enjoy dead realms and RP with your new customizations with same 100 people I suppose, maybe number is lower.
Yes they should, so it will be just you and few others left in game.
This makes zero sense. WRA has been dying out for ages. Stop trying to deter people from playing the game.

I have two toons in WRA and it feels kind of dead compared to MG, which is sad. BFA Wra I could have lore debates in trade chat lol.
But seriously open up class races combos and expand upon lore! They had a panda DK in the Horde garrison. Now everyone can be a panda DK.
The game is more fun when players can make their own stories.
A night elf DK is the prime example of a good story. They’re entire existence is an insult to Elune. They have to go through life having their friends and family hate them. They most likely hate themselves. Their goddess hates them. It’s just such a cool story.
Same thing with NE mages.

Literally any kind of other paladin race on the alliance would be good. The draenei run animation puts me off. Humans don’t feel right and they run like they have sticks up their butts. Night elves would be cool.
But… high elves. Unless they intro’d cross faction play, then I’d be okay with making my human that I’ve race changed about 7 times a belf.

Long story short:
There’s this group of top-notch Night Elf Arcane practicers called The Shen’dralar. They were a secret Highborne group established in Eldre’thalas (now known as Dire Maul, remember doing that dungeon while leveling?) charged by Queen Azshara herself to guard her tomes.
After the Cataclysm occured, the Shen’dralar formally requested Tyrande to rejoin the Night Elves and find refuge in Darnassus. They began training Night Elves the arts of the Arcane and magic. And these are our playable Night Elf Mages.
I take it you haven’t played through Cataclysm as an Alliance character or you just skipped those quest texts?

I’d say it’s more embarrassing with how concerned you are with what the cow people are doing.
If a tauren wants to wear a dress and learn how to fling pretty spells, I say we let him.

That’s the thing, though - apparently they don’t want to, lorewise.
Oh I’ve done it and I know of those mages from vanilla back when I did the dire maul dungeons.
What I don’t understand is how tyrande just ignored 10,000 years of no arcane magic, changed her mind in a choice that splintered an entire race of elves, enough to form a new race, and then suddenly be ok with it.
And to go even further. We had suramar, where she does a complete 180 and starts to distrust arcane again.
Which is it Tyrande? Arcane good for the dire maul guys? Or is arcane bad like the suramar elves?
I think blizzard is going to shape their lore to whatever they want for gameplay purposes. Given that, just open up the class/race restrictions and write the lore later.
But they do.
Tauren priests exist, and tauren mages have existed as far back as cataclysm dungeons and deepholm. Tauren warlocks also exist if we count highmountain.
And even if that wasn’t the case, this weird notion in this game that everyone of an entire race of people is going to have the exact same likes/dislikes and personality is really weird.
Will say though, Tauren Rogues make sense to not exist. Hooves are hard to be stealthy with.
