Can we get some clarification on the updated policy?

Alright. I think it is probably a good idea to lock this one up now as we are starting to repeat a bunch and getting into the weeds a bit.

We’re discussion some adjustments to the support article to help avoid some of the confusion many have but basically…

Basically, if it’s a supported transaction (i.e. using the in-game systems to trade) it is still a supported transaction.

If it was an unsupported transaction (i.e. swapping gold between versions of the game or other realms/factions, etc…) it is prohibited now.

If you are on the same BNet account but with WoW1 and WoW2 License you are trading gold between them to facilitate the above situation; is that now banned?

Trying to exchange gold through the auction house is not a supported transaction. I don’t know if it would result in a penalty, as it is allegedly with your own account and we do try to make note of those as best as we can.

If it is would the devs consider adding the option for the Classic version of the games to allow players to mail characters of the opposite faction if that character on the opposite faction is on the same WoW License (we got this ability in Shadowlands I believe for Retail).

That is a suggestion/feedback item and should be directed towards our Game Developers.

This is probably a good time to ask about Blizzard’s stance on artists in the roleplay community taking gold in exchange for art, in regards to the new policy and longstanding “no exchange of gold for out of game services”?

That’s never been supported as far as I am aware. It is an exchange for goods outside of the game.
