There isn’t a melee meta, casters are really strong right now. You are just bad at them.

I actually think the only overtuned melee atm is rogue (all specs).
War is REALLY good and feels overtuned with an rdruid, but can definitely die outside of that.
Dk is finally mortal (thank god) and dh has several bad MUs.
Meanwhile almost every caster has an A tier spec.
I think the only actual tuning passes should target hunter and rogue For “melee” and destro/ele for casters. We are SO close to really fair balance tbh.

If you look at casters over 3100. 13 sp’s, 10 boomies, 9 arcane mages, 9 frost mages, 18 eles, 3 affs, 19 demos and 29 destros.
If you compare those numbers the specs your complaining about are pretty similar in representation. There are more destros over 3100 than any melee in the game.
Once again, casters aren’t bad, it’s just you.

1,371 caster DPS - 629 melee.
Check active top 2k 3v3s.
1186 casters - 814 melee.
Class rep shows if you take any two of Boomkin, Ele Shaman, and Warlock – then compare them to every single melee that isn’t Assassination rogue – there’s more of the first.
There are more active casters since 10.0.5 between 1800-2400 than there are melee playing between 1600-2500. Caster win% as a class metric – compared to every melee but Assassination Rogue – is nearly 8% higher global… in a gamestate where 51% is “progression”, and 50% is stagnancy… Ele shaman is averaging 65% winrate. Warlock - 62.7% - Boomkin 62.1%.
Highest melee that isn’t Assassination Rogue? Death Knight - 53.7%.

Good thing we arent in one.
Standard - all melee pointing to top 1% …meanwhile the majority is riddled with warriors mashing two buttons whilst casters cant cast and healers cannot out heal the two button mashing.
Any terms of outsmarting the opposing team feels out the door - its just PVE now

Frost DKs are overtuned? They are one of the lowest tier dps, both melee and caster
i think it’s pretty balanced between melee and caster. you just have to play better.
It is imperative we remember at all times that the myth of c%ster weakness in pvp is a carefully designed and orchestrated psyop by Big Warlock to shoehorn c%sters into a position of extreme relative strength in the first season of an expansion (which hasn’t happened at the beginning of an expansion since Wrath) thereby making the power gap between C%sters and Melee even more staggering in C%ster favor at the end of the expansion.

I don’t say that there are no strong casters but it’s definitely more a melee meta than a wizard meta.
Source on all this data? No flame just want to look myself. Or did you manually do all this from just looking at the ladder…

Does popularity equate to position in the meta? For example ret is number 5 and would you argue that ret is one of the best specs in the game?
Just because more people enjoy and play melee in pvp, because for the most part it’s easier at the lower levels to pull off. Does not make it a “melee meta” Casters are just as strong as melee right now and in some regards stronger. Why would destro, ele, mage, and sp be in every single awc set if caster was bad. Why wouldn’t they just play double assa rogue since it’s the best spec in the game. Could it possibly be… because the specs are strong? Stronger than most melee?
