I wanted to address a concern I’ve been facing and propose an idea that I believe could enhance the PvP experience for solo players who enjoy the competitiveness of rated battlegrounds.
As it stands, climbing the ladder in the current system, particularly in blitz mode, feels less satisfying and doesn’t allow for the accumulation of conquest points. For players like myself who prefer playing battlegrounds and want the thrill of rated competition without relying on a pre-made group, the current options are somewhat limited.
My suggestion is to introduce a system for Solo Rated Battlegrounds. This would cater to players who want to climb the ranks independently, without having to join or wait for group invites. The current struggle of finding a proper team, experiencing one loss leading to party disbandment, and restarting the search process can be discouraging.
By implementing Solo Rated Battlegrounds, players can focus on their personal skill development and climb the ladder on their own terms. This not only provides a more satisfying sense of achievement but also encourages solo players to actively participate in the rated PvP scene.
I believe this addition could strike a balance between the enjoyment of playing battlegrounds and the competitiveness of rated play. I hope the community and developers can consider this proposal and discuss the potential benefits it might bring to the PvP landscape.

This is exactly what we need! I’ve always enjoyed the intensity of rated battlegrounds, but finding a consistent group or dealing with party disbandments can be a real challenge. Solo Rated Battlegrounds would not only provide a more engaging experience but also allow us to focus on our personal growth within the PvP scene. I’m all for it!
Great suggestion! As someone who prefers going solo in PvP, the prospect of Solo Rated Battlegrounds is exciting. It addresses the issues many of us solo players face in the current system. You think RSS is hard to climb? Wait until you get grouped with 2 knuckle draggers per match 5 times in a row which cost you rating no matter how good you play. At least when it’s 3v3 you can carry a game

So awesome they have been the least popular form of PvP since forever.
Solo queue still puts you on a team fighting a team of other players… so your point about this being an MmO is moot.
This isn’t 2004. People have lives and shorter attention spans. Every popular game whether it’s an MMO or not has solo queue options, usually as the main option. People don’t want to, or can’t wait around to form teams anymore, and if they are playing a spec that happens to not be FOTM, they might never have found a team anyway. Solo queue is popular and good for the game.
