Its really annoying to have to level up my alts in a way that I will be friendly with all three factions. What if I want to just fully do Drustvar and Tiragarde, and ignore Stormsong, why should I have to go grind Storm’s Wake rep after hitting 120 to unlock WQs and my whistle?
The restriction was lifted in Legion after a while, lets lift it again.
Why would a faction let you do World Quests for them if you’re not even friends?
Maybe look up what ‘Friendly’ is defined as in the dictionary before you ask for end of expansion conveniences.
There is no restriction for alts as long as you have a toon on that account that has unlocked world quests. Just talk to the guy on the boat when you hit 120 and he will unlock them for you. Source: I’ve leveled 2 toons from 110-120 through herbing only.
You don’t need to be friendly with all of them on alts. Just go to the ship and get the quest to unlock world quests.
Oh god. How long did that take?
Roughly 2 hours per level (1 hour if rested). Just put up a Netflix series on the other monitor and ran around. Made about 1.1m gold off the herbs early in the expac.
That’s not too bad. I have two more alts that I’m trying to get to 120 but I’ve done 4 already and the BfA questing is soul crushing now, might consider doing this instead.

This. I had to help my buddy get to Friendly when he hit 120, but after I originally hit 120 Nathanos has had a quest waiting for me to unlock WQs throughout all the zones for all my alts. Pretty much the only competent useful thing he’s done without my direct involvement. 
Yeah it’s a nice break especially if you have a movie or show to watch. Also I found that warmode off is actually faster just due to the lag you experience in the zone. Sometimes it can take an extra second or 2 to herb a node and over the course of thousands of herbs it’s not worth the 10%.

Why? Mercs take jobs for loot / glory and earn their own reputation, but don’t care about anyone else’s rep.
So why would they care about faction rep?
It already works this way. I leveled up my second druid with just herbing and gathering and it can do world quests just fine. You aren’t picking up the quest you need.
I hear this is why we do the WQs…for the rewards. I don’t care about the rep I get from the factions - it’s just a bonus.
Time to go make a thread being mad that I have zero vendor options for Legion legendaries.
There must be a bug in the game OR a requriement no one has listed. Because Nathanos is not auto completing Uniting Zandalar on my alt who is not friendly with these reps. I’m not going to redo quests on an alt to get friendly.
