As title says.
Even though you can say whatever about Shadowlands and BFA, they both had way more depth.
I know that most of depth is supposed to come from the revamped talents in DF. But there are many aspects which make for a class more bland.
Take for Example my priest. With a PVP Perspective
Holy Priest in Shadowlands was crazy good, overpowered even on S2/S3, but besides tuning (which its output was nerfed later on), it had access to Night Fae, so it had mobility, and it had damage reduction with Fae Guardians, then Harmonious Aparathus was given though the legendaries. Now we are given Harmonious Aparathus BUT so many stuff to pick in the holy tree that you really cant afford it. 0 Mobility like there used to be, and we lost Shining Force for example (woulda been great in Season 1 melee fest).
My Discipline Priest, lost access to the legendary boots, which made it so you had 9, yeah NINE Penance bolts in rapid succesion, we also lost Shadow Mend. And yeah even though Discipline priest is fine on PvP, i feel it clunky ever since Dragonflight, and the most loved aspect of it for me, which was being this walker between shadow and light, its been lost.
My Shadowpriest, has lost the most tho⊠Does anyone remember the shadow that used to emerge from you whenever you did an instant Mind Blast ?, yeah thats gone⊠why was this cut ?, it was so nice.
The only thing that was saved was Mind Games, but even then, most Shadowpriests were playing Necro.
Now Mind Games with the increased HP, feels like it does basically nothing.
In any way, my post is basically to say that DF Talents alone cant replace, covenants and legendaries⊠we need legendaries at least to have more depth.
Dont even get me started on BFA, with corruption, we had access to crazy stuff and never felt more powerful than on 8.3. I played this hunter in BFA. It was wild
