Those were really fun and made the game feel like an RPG again. If the next expac is a more down to azeroth story, it would be cool to reunite with the old gang and do some boots on the ground stuff.
Maybe change the locations of the order halls and update them with some of the events that have happened since legion. This would be especially interesting if there has been some kind of time skip while we were in shadowlands. Perhaps we take a backseat as a new person has become the head of the order hall while we were off saving the universe again.
Class halls might be my favorite content in the game. I did a DK a few months back and hadn’t played once since just after Wrath, the storyline was epic and I gained a new respect for the class just on the strength of the lore put into the hall. It’s pretty much mandatory that I do the order hall for bare minimum title (and now that broken shore is nerfed, mount) on 90%+ of all characters I level.
I honestly cannot say that of any other content. Let that sink in.
I agree…I want a multi dimensional char not just some rootless vagabond. More class halls, garrison cust. player housing…no more new mounts and raids until this is worked on
Class halls gave us a different storyline and mount for each class.
Shadowlands only has one storyline, the same for Alliance and Horde. At least BFA had a different one for each faction.
Agreed. I really loved everything about Legion. It really got me into the game, on my DK/Hunter/Priest characters. The Class Hall thing made it more fun to play your other class characters and things seemed more “fresh.”
Plus the whole class mounts thing.
They each had their own “Class Board” too, instead of the same one like in Boreallus
I would love to see some of the hunter spell book trimmed and the class maybe a little harder to play so they aren’t so popular by perhaps a subset of less skilled players. They can do virtually everything without the ranged penalty of cast time or the melee penalty of distance. Hero/lust, immunity, pets, threat reduction, enrage removal, etc. They just do too much and too easily, hence the memes.
“Roles” are a player-facing mechanic that has nothing to do with the lore or the environment not to mention it shoves 5+ classes into what would be the same, generic, catered-to-everyone-and-thus-no-one “role hall”.
Roles are also completely invalidated on a constant basis by the in-game lore and cutscenes where Thrall, a Shaman, can tank Deathwing etc. but a player has to actually play one of the 3 roles Blizzard designed for them.
Like yea, let’s have the Paladins and the Death Knights hang out in the same hall after what Death Knights did in Legion.
What did Tauren Sunwalkers really think about the Paladin Class Hall? I mean, Sunwalkers technically aren’t Paladins, and the Silver Hand is a Human organization, so has very Human aesthetic. Did the Tauren just shrug and go “Works for me!”? Or did Tauren players feel a little out of place? Just curious.
