Can we get another water themed dungeon?

sort of like the waterfall dungeon from i think cata idk the name

I’m still sad how viscerally the playerbase hated Vashj’ir. It means we’ll never get cool ocean content again. Hell, they turned Nazjatar into a muddy hole because of it.

For real. Vashj’ir is amazing.

I have thalassophobia to an extreme. That place was my nightmare. I’d end up hyperventilating and my hubby had to get me through portions of it.

Thank gawd.

I’ve been scuba diving since I was 12 - I understand the complaints about Vashj’ir but that place was a dream for me.

How are we going to get the underwater environment if this stupid community keeps boycotting them?

From vanilla I looked at the sea abysses observable from the Ironforge train and I said to myself “How great it would be to explore the deep sea”

The story of Vashj’ir is great and has 2 awesome submarines.

It’s a shame that the community hates it, but we are talking about the community who likes flying instead of exploring.

This, I actually really enjoyed it as well. So unique, and they even made underwater mounts that should have seen better use. I hope one day they give it another try, especially considering how far WoW has come since Cataclysm, and the new technology or design artists would make something amazing I feel.

I understand some people usually jump to hating water levels due to old school Super Mario levels etc but in a mmorpg I feel it easily can work especially visually.

To be fair, combat in a 3D environment can get confusing and it particularly sucked for melee classes to try and figure out which direction to swim in to get in range.

Like I said, I get the complaints, but that zone is so visually stunning I wish they’d just do it anyways.

Throne of the Tides, surprised nobody listed it.

Shrine of the Storm was also cool, albeit a little annoying/dangerous with the mobs in there.

The music’s a jam though.

I really enjoyed Vashj’ir, I would love another underwater themed zone. But gamers gunna game, so…

I think it was way too big, way too boring, despite the theme and gimmick

I didn’t realize people hated on Vashj so much. That area may be one of my fav story-lines & aesthetic. The music was perfect. Questing there felt so engaging because the 3d environment, or bounding off seabed (gravity dynamics). At that time (cata?) there was enough novelty & player interest to randomly get as many people in the zone in a raid & take on the whale shark together just to see if it could be done. BfA’s Naj was a fun for me, but felt not as immersive, however novel. I saw some tWW video of someone fighting a sawtooth shark in a dungeon(delve?). trying to find name of instance now. any1 know?

That’s because they intentionally made it terrible so they could point to it and say, “Look! We told you you wouldn’t like an underwater zone and we were right that you wouldn’t like it!”

ah. new Delve, The Sinkhole. Yes!!

Lol it’s genuinely baffling to me when people claim Blizzard would deliberately make something bad for some conspiracy reason. They made the zone the best they could - people just didn’t like it, and that’s fine.

Yes, the multi million dollar company with twelve million active users made that zone as best as they could. They couldn’t have possibly done any better. Do you ever think Blizzard can do wrong? Do you also point at garrisons and say “Blizzard told you you wouldn’t like player housing!”?

Also, acting like the Blizzard devs haven’t been incredibly petty in the past when they weren’t too busy harassing the female employees is a total joke.

Maraudon? The area ‘Earthsong Falls’ within Mara has lots of waterfalls. :yum:

For your next underwater dungeon.

You gotta farm various footwear to defeat the boss. Also, for funsies we’re gonna require you to gulp air like Sonic the Hedgehog.

And change the low air meter to this sound

You can thank me later. Y’all want a challenge. Here you go

:ocean: :crab: :ocean: :crab:

Sometimes the player base is the biggest enemy… Unfortunately, there are some who are causing fear and horror on the internet that Blizzard is reacting to such stupid people.

I go into all areas of this game farming crap all the time. I see players in places you’d think would be 100% dead.
But I never see a single other player since I started playing in 2017 in the times I do go to Vashj’ir. And I literally have to force myself to even try to do anything in that content.
I’d think theres a reason for it. Few, if any really, want to bother with that place.
