Can we get an anima trader in Oribos?

Or maybe just add it to the already existing exchanger guy who’s sitting next to the guild bank? Just add some SL mats to his vendor table or something. Make them cost like 50/100 anima a stack or something. I got anima coming out the whazoo now. My bags are crammed with miscellaneous anima trinkets probs worth like 10k anima. I’ve already bought all the cosmetics. I’m now buying duplicate cosmetics and waiting out the stupid 2hr timer before I can vendor them back for gold.

agreed that we need this… but how do people have so much anima? what are you doing in-game?

Granted, I’m super casual, but I have yet to finish all the upgrades on a single character, let alone all the cosmetics.

EDIT: to clarify. I make about 2k anima a day. I don’t farm it hard, just do Marasmius (because I’m still not exalted, but will stop with him soon), a few of the daly Grateful Offering things (though I have enough now, so I have started to skip this too), and then Korthia’s dailies.

All my sanctum structures are at 3 except conservatory which is at rank 2. Yet I still have over 80k more anima to spend. The cosmetics alone are a massive chunk.

In fact, I’ll do some math for what I’m missing (for my own reference and proper planning):
30k Marasmius weapons
10k Marasmius mounts
7k Marasmius Back items
3k Marasmius souls
So… 50k on Marasmius alone.

37.5K total for the conservatory’s rank 3, 4 and 5.

From Elwyn (Renown Quartermaster):
10k for mounts
4k for ilusion + pet
7k for back items
34k for set recolor
10.5k for weapon recolor
and lastly 17.5k (renown mount and set we can’t buy yet)

From Himbernal Hollow’s vendor:
25k set
10k in mounts
3k souls
3.5k backpack I didn’t buy (i already have the moths)
41.5k from Himbernal Hollow

grand total of 212k anima to spend… yet! Way more than the 80k I thought I needed. Plus all the anime I’ve already spent on sanctum upgrades and a few cosmetics.

HOW IN THE ACTUAL HELL… do people already have all that anima?

Do people just not have self-control and keep farming stuff they don’t need? Why continue to go to Korthia if you already have everything. Just do it in a new toon, maybe? Why continue with Marasmius if exalted? Why get more souls from Maw if sanctum is fully upgraded?

Or is it just that people don’t know who sells stuff for anima?

And here I was told I was what’s wrong with the community for suggesting a lot of people have already farmed all the anima they probably intend to given how long 9.0 was 🤷

I’ve played most of the expac. Mostly on one toon since this expac is extremely hostile for alts. As a result I’ve had the time I would normally put into 4 mains, put into just one. I had all the covenant upgrades completed and most of the cosmetics before 9.1 even released.

yeah, that makes sense. All I did was twisting corridors when it came out, then played one or two more weeks after and stopped. I’ve gotten completely bored of the gear grind and haven’t been chasing gear since WoD, so I just play for challenges or cosmetics.

The anima grind seemed impossible in 9.0 so I had just given up on it. I’m farming anima now; and not even that fast… I get about 2k anima / day then stop.

I rather lvl one of each toon and get all the campaign sets than get 4 recolors of the same set in a single toon.

I was done with 5 buildings before 9.2 came out and almost all the crap cosmetics you can buy with anima , now i m everything bought/upgraded + 35k in covenant + around 50k in bags/bank + occasionally i have to delete stacks of aniuma 5x100 ones to make room . This is really getting out of hand please do something about this .

When we got here there was a drought, now we have too much. That should be reflected in game. Maldraxxus npc’s talk about how anima usually floats around in the air like dust there. Well bring that back.

They grinded Anima in 9.0, lol imagine.

That’s what I want to know… lol

Seriously, I just do the “bare minimum” of the weekly 1000 anima quest, and I’m still not capped on anima :man_shrugging:

How are these some of these posters “overflowing” with anima?

Anyways, here’s a good quality-of-life suggestion for this:

I assumed that all the covenant upgrades, mount, pets, and mogs were expansion-long grinds. It would have been a mindlessly boring chore to do it all in 9.0. Since there wasn’t a load of new stuff in 9.1 to buy anima with, that sort of tells me it was initially supposed to be an expac-long grind

I can’t speak for everyone, but for me I’m farming Korthia for the relics and doing the dailies for rep. At the same time, I’m getting tons of anima. I finished getting all the cosmestics and everything else from my covenant.

Now, I have nothing to spend the anima on unless I buy duplicates. I do appreciate getting lots of anima now. But it would be nice to either remove the cap or allow us to trade anima to alts or even, as the OP suggested, a trader.

It’s a good idea but if they did that I suspect they would once again neuter anima gains.

Equip and un-equip them to get rid of the timer.

Also, most of the Covenants have a way to better convert anima to money than this raw gold method if that’s something you’re interested in.

Agreed, this would be pretty neat, even if the trade rate was obnoxious I’d be okay with that. I’m glad they upped the anima drops (I guess the drought’s over guys!) but it’d be nice to also have more to get. Recolours are boring. I wish we could buy consumables. I’d drop 2k anima for a “lesser” flask (maybe like 80% the quality of an alchemist flask) or similar things.

I haven’t even purchased all the “cosmetic” and “extra” anima items from the covenant vendor on my main…

…so I’m over scratching my head as to how some of these GD’ers claim to have already purchased everything and are now “overflowing” with anima? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Are they running the raid on every single difficulty, weekly?? Farming every available anima quest every single day? How are they doing it?

The anima bonuses from having full tier 3 upgrades were unlocked for us the day they hotfixed those in. It made it possible to be earning 2k anima a day (sometimes more) plus the extra from raid bosses and M+. I finished my covenant’s cosmetics a few days before 9.1 and now Korthia simply floods me with anima. I have to re-buy the 30k weapon arsenal from Murasmius and destroy it every few days to keep from capping.

With this in mind and the fact I’m averaging 5-6k anima a day from Korthia, I can’t agree with the premise of this topic. The AH would become simply flooded with materials and the market would completely tank. There are enough people overflowing with anima like me that it would happen, guaranteed.

I imagine they’d have to be farming WQ/rares/treasures in all zones in between queues for many hours a day

Only world quests. Rares and treasures were not worth the time, still kind of aren’t.

Just dailies. I can’t buy anything with anima because I can’t farm enough Kyrian Grateful Offerings. Everything is upgraded. As many cosmetics are bought, as possible. So the only thing left is to spend anima on healing companions on the adventuring table so I can finally turn in the anima items.

It’s bad.

Yeah, that’s a hard pass from me…

I know some GD’ers are farming Korthia for “3-4 hours a day”, but I could never do that myself. I just go there, do my dailies in about 20 minutes, and leave.

I’m not even Tier 5, only halfway into Tier 3 with Archivist at the moment, I’ll just get to Tier 6 whenever I get there :man_shrugging:
