This is being made WAAAAAY more than it is…we all know it.
BUT…IF we’re gonna go down the path of making big changes, I want them done RIGHT…not half rumped so they just make things worse or are no real improvement at all
ok, well let’s dissect this, step by step, ok?
then you can tell me if there is any step here that isn’t correct, sound good?
- Person A ignores person B (and only person B, no other ignores)
- Person A then looks through the forums to see any hidden messages.
- Person A finds a hidden message, opens it and it shows a character that is not the character that person A ignored.
- This new character is ignored because of account wide ignores and is on the account of person B.
- Person A just found an alt of person B
For the amount of actual problems in here…yeah, the current set up is fine.
This is one of the most laid back forums Ive been on.
some of them are total dumpster fires and on a daily basis, lol.
I just want to try to get any changes that do get made done right the first time so we dont end up right back here making thread after thread after thread on this topic again soon

You block me, I dont see you, you dont see me, no PMs, nothing. Its like we dont exist to the other.

it would be a much better idea to not make any changes at all…
I’ll grant you this, i did try doing searches with that and while its a bit unreliable, it does work. someone could use it if you were the ONLY block in their account so it didnt just give them 100 other members characters too.
This is why we’d need to ask for the hidden message to be removed to.
Some saying its already like that in the one thread kinda ticks me off because that means this forum already likely has some of the settings that would quiet this place down, but they arent enabling them for some reason.

Like if you block someone in wow, you don’t see their name pop up or w/e it’s “they do not exist” with FB if you click on a profile that has you blocked you can’t see anything twitter… I think it’s that way? Idk I think only 1 person has me on block… I think? Idk I go on there for art pictures / photography lol

The problem is there seems to be some indication that some changes ARE actually coming.
Id like for our input to have some bearing on what those changes look like.
there aren’t any changes coming… Vrakthis just told one of the btag thread creators that so they would stop bothering customer service forums about the btag thread removals.
Thats a flaw of the current trashy ignore system. A newer one would not need that.
Im ignoring them, I don’t want to see any of their stuff.

I got curious and tried it.
The only detail is that you have to be their ONLY blocked account, otherwise they wont be able to figure out which characters are whose.
It would definitely have to be changed so we couldnt see the hidden posts if they go down that path.
