Thankfully things got cleaned up, but issues like today’s particularly vile Sunday troll/crazy person does a lot to show why the forum needs an overhaul in how it works - including account-wide ignores, for ignore to function properly rather than this ‘1 hidden message’ nonsense… and perhaps some better moderation overall - but particularly a bit more moderation on weekends (as tiring as it can be to keep this place fire-free outside of normal work hours).

He legit walks himself into every battle tag thread and absolutely no one would talk to him or know he exists if he didn’t. He does this to himself. It is not harrassment.

You can claim you are your character all you want. You can claim to be someone different as one of your alts all you want. The fact is, you can not hide that you are the same person behind the computer screen as to any of your alts you chose to post from.
And that is why having some adjustments to the forums are needed. Because everyone here has every right to ignore the person, not one of the characters.
The game and the forums are both different platforms. The game is where you are more of your character in an “rpg setting”, where the forums are a place where you discuss the game.

Legit, Cata and Cata armory update can’t come soon enough because all these trollers, sockpuppets, harassers that hide on the classic Death Knights or other classic characters won’t be able to do that anymore.

I think that’s a thing too when the new forums were made, I don’t think there was classic yet… I think? Classic was what… 2020 or was it earlier than that?

I don’t remember, I just remember armories started actually showing up in Cata and that was way back in end of 2010 almost 2011 so I assume it will follow suit and start connecting everyone’s classic characters to current ones thus ending the easy trolling, sockpuppeting and harassing because then you can look at someone and be like oh well what do you know that’s an alt of so and so and be sure about it.

God I hope not, I’ve really enjoyed how on this forum I was able to make a fresh start on Lilithia once my reputation had become too damaged, I acknowledge I am not perfect but I find people too unforgiving and even vindictive…
Though I may change my mind on this, the fact that people stood up for Ardmccloud even if a lot of people don’t like him, I won’t forget that, that was one of the best inspiring moments that I will remember. Sorry if I keep bringing it up but it did give me a bit more hope for humanity is all.
