Bumps are ok, but perhaps an opinion or response to bump it.
We also need a icon to ignore someone too to be more convenient. An eye with a slash through it like mute icon will suffice.
Between the like and share icon would be a nice spot for it.
We can use some more fun emojis while we’re at it. To be honest the Plunderstorm emojis are not fun.
Two emojis both the same?

Not everything everyone says on the internet is gospel truth
That is true, you do find a lot of misinformation and disinformation spreaded across the internet, which is why people would only trust reliable sources. Take for example, with the Covid-19 Pandemic, we all know the conspiracy theories surounded that, and well, I trusted NSW Health, which is basically the health department for here in NSW, rather than trusting other sources.

yea but we can also simply ignore ppl or use the ignore feature. if you know the person is an alt of someone simply do not engage.
so at the end of it none of this makes sense lol u can want account wide ignores all day but some of you need to learn self restraint and just not talk to ppl u hate.

I can assure you, nobody here would be sad. Please do take a break from the thread because nothing you have to say is relevant to the post anyway.

Fistbumps for account wide ignores?

People alt hop continuously to bypass ignores, yes it does make sense to have account wide ignore.
Are you aware that the other Blizzard forums have this functionality?
Someone bypassing my ignore continuously is forced engagement which is harassment. Why should I keep putting the same account on ignore continuously?
All the other Blizzard forums have account wide ignore.

i didnt say that. i said it doesnt make sense you cant just ignore someone whos alt hopping. no one is forcing you to talk to anyone. i havent blocked anyone i just choose to not reply to them…
Good for you, I guess you must have a stronger tolerance of people’s misbehaving and toxicity.
I don’t want to read or see that person, I don’t want their notifications when they reply to me. I don’t want to engage with them. I don’t want to see them in my notifications alert. I want my notifications on why should I shut it off for one person?
If I find someone is hurting my mental health, ignore one time, not multiple times.
Again, it’s harassment, I don’t know what you do not understanding about this. Constantly switching alts to bypass ignore is wrong and should be a forum offense.
If you feel that yourself don’t need it then don’t put anyone on ignore not everyone is you.
Yes, we do need account wide ignore and I really don’t care how it’s done.
All the other Blizzard forums has this functionality and so should WoW forums.

…and then?
NO AND THEN!
That’s why I say that… I dont want to talk to someone I shouldn’t have to constantly ignore ignore ignore just so I don’t have to talk with them.
It’s downright annoying and draining on my mental health.

i guess i do because these forums are a circus but it’s no where as horrible as you’re making it to be.
though i don’t know anyone on these forums who are so bad that they effect someone’s mental health unless they’re stalking you outside here… maybe take a break? i say this genuinely btw.
The point is when you do encounter people misbehaving or being toxic, you shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to not deal with them.

jump through hoops yet both ard and lith say you keep replying to them do they pop up lmao. no one is forcing nothing
Neither of them are really harassing anyone in this thread (at least not that the mods haven’t removed).
They’re just being clowns here.

Facebook shared those information pieces at that time which is why the implemented the share information settings around the same time. Battle Tag however does not display that kind of information to start with and was made that way due to the Facebook incident.
The use of one tag for the entire account prevent trolls from switch to a differently name character on the account and presenting a false sense of multiple players pushing for the same idea when in fact it is one player on multiple characters.
Personally I would find adding Battle Tag to the Forums and Ignore system a QoL improvement to stay harassment and expose players abusing the current forum system of multiple character one account…

I don’t think you fully understand everything. Not all the time, people reply to Ardmccloud or Lilithia. Not all the time, people respond to any of the trolling or toxic behaviour that goes on within this thread or anywhere on the forums. But doesn’t mean the forums doesn’t have “limitations” that can be exposed, with one of them, creating a new character, reaching level 10 to post on the forums, and use that to bypass ignores and troll the forums.
The forums shouldn’t work this way where people can just easily create a new character and act like a different person to be toxic towards others, and yes, this does tend to happen. Just like how people can use alts to expose other things that shouldn’t be exposed in the first place, such as using alts to mass flag the same post over and over, or using alts to mass like. And although these things aren’t that common, they’re exactly not all that rare either.
Now, you could say things aren’t all that bad, but if there is one thing clear, the forums should be more of treating our BNet account as the account on the forums, and not our character-server. Because if the BNet account was treated mostly as the account here on the forums, then things that people used to be able to exploit through here on the forums, wouldn’t be able to do it. Instead, they’ll have to create an entire new account, grab a WoW license, pay for a subscription… Basically, you get the idea.
