Can we get account wide ignore?

If one collective controlled the forums, they could influence how WoW is molded in the future.

So, what you’re saying is that somehow, by ignoring people, which just means that they will not see how others respond, some nefarious group that does not yet exist will come in and take over the forums by not being able to read all the people who disagree with them?

Through black listing and witch hunts, yes.

You’re skipping some steps there.

I’ve explained this several times already.

No, you have said it several times. There’s no explanation that makes sense about how someone, by blocking themselves from reading other people’s posts, will prevent those people from posting.

Isolating a poster through a coordinated ignore somewhat defeats the purpose of posting.

Smooth brain, right here folks.

And, again, this all requires an imaginary super majority of the forums agreeing on a plan and carrying it out. Something that has never come close to happening even though it could be done, with a bit more effort now if people wanted to.

And even if they did ignore those people, it would not prevent them from posting their views.

I wouldn’t call it imaginary when things like false flagging still occurs.

Quite often.

I hardly know you outside of these threads so I don’t have a solid opinion of you but I do want to point out that if you are getting ignored that much are you sure you aren’t the problem, I mean I hate to say it but if you are actually ignored that much by that many people it’s pretty telling.

Not like this doesn’t happen to everyone because most everyone else uses the flag as the dislike button since the dislike button was removed.

You mean the false flagging that is vastly simplified by the fact that people can hop on their alts to add more than one flag to a post by themselves.

Yes, that is a good reason for a unified forum ID that handles likes, ignores, flags and such

Except you can’t prove that, that’s actually what’s happening.

I have seen it happen, and heard people complain of the punishments they’ve gotten for doing it.

getting something hidden really doesn’t take that many flags, forget if it’s 5 or 15, not that many really to trigger the automatic response. So it’s not really a good way to suggest that there’s magically something like 90%+ of the forum population that will agree to ignore somone in a way that would come close to preventing someone’s posts from being unseen.

So like…this same topic has been talked about by the same 4 or 5 people with the same takes for what looks like…forever.

You mean we aren’t all hiveminded, I had thought you are me and I am you and I’m also everyone else or something like that.

Everyone is free to ignore whatever they want.

If many people decide that an opinion is wrong/misinformation/ignorant than the poster is free to still post it. People don’t have to listen to it.

Which is why I assume you are worried about this.

It’ll just kill the forums.

Hate doesn’t make a for a positive force in a friendly forum environment.
