Interesting change for me today … The number of posts went up by nearly 3000 in this thread, but I no longer see ignored content posts from Ard or any of the others on my ignore list …
Hopefully this isn’t a bug and is the actual first step towards …

To be honest I think it’s the forums being buggy, some of my links had trouble processing through and didn’t show up hours later.
I think it’s a process where they have to reboot and have a fresh start of the forums. I don’t mind re-earning TL3 again, but I would highly recommend those with mega threads such as race customizations keep a copy of their threads in their computer files if such comes to pass. This way it could just copy/pasted back in.
I would think this is what is required to do to re-program the forums to have account wide ignores to connect all the characters as a whole to have account wide ignore.
Mine has been like that today too, but interestingly enough only in this thread. Others I still see the usual Ignored content
Maybe because the thread is over 10000?

This is the same bug that happened in one of the btag mega threads that went beyond 10k posts where you dont see the view hidden reply button.
I think I have been asking this since the btag thread and this, what issue?
because all other forums on the internet already has account wide ignore already baked in and those people are still using those said forums?

Account-wide ignores could easily be misused as I mentioned before.
Players may use them to isolate themselves based off their raiding or M+ performance for instance.
Which could have negative harm for the feedback Blizzard collects here.
People can ignore anyone for any to no reason at all. There is no rules on what people have to ignore.

Until they start pushing for game changes that people disagree with.
Which is why this whole argument started to begin with.
Oh, a lot of people have been pushing for game changes, some, for the better, others, for the worse. Yet, we all see that Blizzard doesn’t even listen to anyone pushing for game changes.
Like, honestly, what are you saying? People shouldn’t be allowed to give any sort of feedback? People aren’t allowed to ignore others? All this because you want to use your alts to bypass ignores when people place you on ignore because you think you have every right to have your post seen?

I’m saying that if you make feedback for changes with an account wide ignore listed filled to the brim with ignores then that view may be heavily biased or distorted.
Nobody is required to listen to anyone else before relaying their feedback to Blizzard. Nor should they be forced to listen to, or see, posters they don’t like.
We have that right to ignore the PERSON, not each and ever character they post with.
But you know all this and we have been around in circles with you. I assume you do this for fun. That, or you really like posting on alts and want to force people to listen to you.

I simply disagree with these proposed changes since I think they will inevitably be abused beyond their intended purpose.

So, placing people on ignore is abusing the purpose of the ignore. Because that is not how it works.
Putting someone on ignore means exactly what it is, putting someone on ignore. And there doesn’t have to be a reason to ignore, people can just ignore anyone for no reason at all.
