I it something to do with Beta license. Not everyone has it, such as me, so my forum resets when I switch to an alt.

If I have someone on ignore, why would I care about someone’s alts? plus there is serious repercussions if you harass someone anyways so I’m not going to risk my account getting tossed into the toilet and flushed.

The only reason why people would be against it, is so they can continue switching alts to bypass it to continue with there trolling or sockpuppeting. And it is the same people who are against BTags.

Just to pop back by…whatever it is, I hope it IS two way account wide blocks, personally. IF moderation doesnt have the manpower to keep things under control so much, that would definitely be a good tool for shutting down the bigger problems. Ive stated my views on publicly seen account ID#'s more than enough so no reason to rehash that.
Sad to see this thread was going so well before and its turned into this again. I was kinda hoping when I did finally come back by it would still be moderately civil.
Oh, I try and keep it civil, but some just take anything as an insult and keep going in circles, acting like people are willing to put there account at risk to harass someone.

We obviously disagree on some of the details, but that shouldnt be allowed to kill another thread here.
Once we’ve said it a few times, yeah, just ignore the person to keep the thread alive so others can partake.

Except just because you decide to ignore me, doesn’t mean I should only see part of a conversation, just because you happen to be posting in it. You won’t know if I reply to you, because you’ve ignored me. I may have plenty of good contributions to the discussion being had. And I can’t contribute to the conversation if I’m only seeing half of it because of your choices. You can ignore me for any reason, or no reason.
If you decide to take that a step further and post everywhere, now everything you’ve contributed to everything is off limits to me. That means everyone else that isn’t using ignore has to see both of us. Instead of agreeing with you (you wouldn’t know or not anyways) and building on what you have to say (making for a more intelligent conversation for outsiders not ignoring people), I may simply be parroting what you say, making the conversation disjointed for everyone involved and not just us.
Yeah, there are a few ‘if’ stuffs in here, and sure, one of us ignoring the other even 1-sided can contribute to this happening. But not as much, and at least you and I decided what we each wanted to see.
Ugh, did all of that make sense? I mean, not that you have to agree, that’s ok too. I need more coffee…

And thats the exact issue. We dont have to agree. Its ok.
What two-way in this context would mean is that unless someone quotes me when they respond, you wouldnt see my posts, but you would see their response.
IF this forum is filled with trolls and IF moderation is having a problem containing it, as we seem to believe, then we need to use more aggressive tools to combat it.
Twitter and facebook both survive having the total block thing. Im in feeds all the time where someone Ive blocked is clearly partaking because I just blocked them. I can see responses to them, but cant see what they said…and it works out just fine.
I get it that this might seem a bit much, but IF trolling is that extreme here then extreme measures are required.
Thats where you just have to decide to block and leave it.
I think we’ve learned some lessons over the course of the year here that if we keep taking shots at each other, the only result is a week of discussion is locked or 404’ed.
Im just not doing it in another of these threads. Its tiresome presenting a side, then it having been for nothing because I come back and the 404 is where my posts should be. lol
I think only 1 person want that in this thread which alot of us didnt want. I think it’s only fair that the ignored person can still see the post.
Eg. person A ignores person B. Person A post and see the post and person B reply but person A will never see the reply because person B is already ignore. But person C can see both person A and B’s post.
But at the same time I think it’s only fair that if I have put some1 one ignore that I dont see their alt or any post they create on any of their toon. After all I choose to ignore that person.

Exactly this. I want to the choice to fully ignore the person, not just one of there toons and they switch alts to bypass the ignore.
