Can we get account wide ignore?

I don’t care about Btags. I’ve never said they had anything to do with privacy. That has never been the premise of my statements.

I take it you couldn’t find any posts suggesting that we move to email addresses either. Not surprised. You’ve yet to back up any of your far-fetched claims.

A complete and utter waste of time.

Unfortunately, this is true.

THIS… Exactly…

Nothing ever gets done.

What is rather annoying is that you cant IGNORE players if they go into their forum settings and put their profile on PRIVATE!!!

Indeed. I am currently waiting for Azathoth to back up the claim that an

I have been here a LONG time, and an MVP over 10 years. I am not aware of any MVPS trying that. The CS/TS MVPs would be daft to even consider it. The Forum Support Agents can see right through that. I can’t think of any Community MVPs doing it either. Some have engaged in poor behavior, but not sockpuppeting on the CS forums.

I would LOVE to see any proof of that. I know every CS/TS MVP going way back and can’t think of any who were ever removed from the program for cause, or even got into hot water. The only ones who left the program did so because they became inactive/moved on to other things in life, or passed away. Even then I think they are still technically in the program, they are just not active.

Just like there is no proof of anyone in this thread demanding Blizzard display personal information. Why? Because nobody wants personal information shown!

They will clean up this forum. It is just a matter of when, not if. The only thing that will change that is if they get rid of the forums entirely. In which case it becomes a moot point.

You absolutely can.

Open your forum preferences (click your image in the top right of the forums, and then the little icon of a person and it should be there), then you click on USERS and add them via their username and server

Show me just one thread where this was suggested in a genuine way.

SHow where some one has said they want email addresses exposed in here .

You said it now prove it because I know of no one here that wants any private information shown . Doing acount wide ignores in the background using the current tech they have for suspending entire accounts in the background or by implementing btags like every other Blizzard forum does not expose personal information and those are the things I have seen and have recommended my self in here.

Yes you can! Go to your own Profile and into your settings or preferences. Users > Ignore and manually enter the name. It should start auto filling for you when you start typing. You want to ignore by charname-server which is how the forums see each character “account”.

Then set a time duration and you are done. They are ignored.

How do you know their server name if their profile is on private?

It is in the address link to their profile. In your browser when you hover over a link it shows the address in a preview window. Mine is lower left in Firefox. That tells you the server. OR just click their picture and look at the address bar at the top of the browser screen. It will show their name as something like “Mirasol-mannoroth” in the web address.

Mouse over their portrait in any of their posts.

But, but…then they can’t have their argument if you bring FACTS to the table, when they have zero proof to show!

You cant SEE their profile at ALL if its set to private…

Hover over my profile picture with your mouse. Then look at the preview address window in your browser that show the link ahead of time. It will tell you the name-server.

OR click my avatar picture and it will take you to that page. Even if hidden profile, the address at the top of the page shows the name-server.

Example. Here is your own link

https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/u/Silentscape-frostmourne/activity

See how it shows the charname-server?

I see now… TY…

Yea Blizzard needs to make that easier to see and do.

You might not of but those you seem to back up use Btags and other non invasive ideas like using Blizzards own background systems as a way to bimplement account wide ignores as their podium to say that such things would be a invasion of their privacy when they know that is a lie

And what makes you so confident of that?

This forum was a huge step forward from the last one, as at least this time around, I had more privacy as nobody could see my alts so nobody would call them out for mysteriously disappearing when they hit the ignore button.

People talk of ‘less work’ for the mods, but the last thing I want is for the community to police itself.

Human behavior is cruel, they will ostracize those people who don’t fit in.

I am not wasting my time telling you things that you have been told hundreds of times, by dozens of people over the past months, or even years.

Nothing anyone says has any impact on getting you to realize your behavior is an issue, and that people have the right to avoid YOU as a poster if they want to. YOU, not one of your alts, not a subset of alts. YOU. They don’t want to interact with the poster at all. Just like in-game is account wide ignore.
